The Pear of Anguish

The pear of anguish cam from Spain, and was considered to be one of the most horrific of the torture devices. It had many names such as the Spanish mouth pear, the rectal; vaginal and oral pear. It was also called Poire D’Angiusser.

It was called a pear because it looked like a pear. And this pear had four leaves that when the hinge on top was screwed would open. This opening of these leaves would rip the walls of the orifice that it happened to be in at that time. People who experienced this in the mouth usually drowned in their own blood. If it was placed elsewhere when opened he/she would not usually die from bleeding to death, or from infection but usually from internal damage. This is really surprising, since the pear was rarely cleaned, even before use on another person.

Depending on you crime is how it was used to torture you. If you lied it would be inserted into you r mouth. If you were a witch, cheating woman or a cause of miscarriage it would be inserted into the vaginal canal. And if you were a passive male homosexual it would be inserted in to the anus. I however do not know into what orifice the aggressive male homosexual received the pear.
