This application is for academic travel awards available through the Bill J. Priest Center for Community College Education. Awards range from $250 to $1000. Awards will be processed in compliance with UNT travel procedures.

AWARD SOUGHT:
___ EDHE 6080 Washington, DC Travel Award This award is for students taking EDHE 6080 Leadership in the Community College. Students admitted to the Community College Leadership Certificate Program or the Higher Education Program will be given preference. Applications for this award must include a statement of need. On a separate sheet of paper, write a brief explanation (1-2 pages) of how EDHE 6080 fits in your academic and career goals and your need for financial assistance. Applications for this award must be received by the third week of the semester in which the trip will be taken. Award range is $500-$750.
___ Conference Presentation Travel Award
This award is for students who have had a presentation proposal accepted to a national or international academic conference. The proposal and presentation must place significant emphasis on the community college or a topic of importance to community colleges. If a paper is written for the presentation, a copy of the paper must be submitted to the Priest Center before the conference. The paper may be posted at the Priest Center website. This award is available only to students admitted to the Higher Education degree or certificate programs. Applications must be received at least two months prior to the conference. Award range is $250-$1000.
