JOB DESCRIPTION DATE: September 2017 POSITION: CE CR Systems Engineer BUSINESS UNIT: Central Services LOCATION: Craigavon REPORTING TO: UK Infrastructure Team Leader RESPONSIBLE FOR (PEOPLE): N/A

OVERALL ROLE OBJECTIVE:

As part of the UK infrastructure team, the Systems Engineer’s role is to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the in-house information systems that support core organizational functions.

JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

The post holder will:

1. Monitor, maintain, support, and optimise all networked software and associated operating systems

2. Apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues in order to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments

3. Assist in the planning and execution of projects according to strict deadlines and within budget

4. Coordinate the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan

5. Create and maintain documentation as it relates to IT assets, configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records

6. Participate in the UK Infrastructure Team On-Call Rota and willing to travel to other locations within UK/Ireland. GENERAL ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Training and Development Ensure training has been received before undertaking specific duties and that all training is recorded in training records. Communication Communicate within your own department to ensure that all relevant information is forwarded to the appropriate personnel on a regular and timely basis. Provide regular updates to your line manager regarding progress on required duties and the status of any projects. ESSENTIAL DESIRABLE ASSESSMENT REQUIREMENT REQUIREMENT METHOD

QUALIFICATIONS Third level qualification (or Industry Certification in: Application Form equivalent) with a strong computer o Microsoft and Documentary element o VMware Evidence o Red Hat OR

Significant proven practical experience in the area of Infrastructure support

EXPERIENCE Competence in administrating and Experience in the administration Application Form supporting a variety of Microsoft or support of Linux/HP-UX and Interview Server Operating systems systems Microsoft Server (2008 onwards) supporting complex interwoven infrastructure environments Experience in the management of Backup systems Experience in administration of Virtualisation technologies like Experience in management of VMware or Hyper-V or VDI Microsoft Exchange, Skype.

Practical experience of delivering Experience with SAN Fabric technical elements of IS and/or iSCSI storage admin infrastructure projects experience

Experience of Citrix, VMware View or other desktop virtualisation technologies KEY SKILLS Self-motivated with a strong drive Psychometric to complete all assigned tasks testing/ Interview

Ability to flex and adapt working style to meet changing priorities

Strong team player – willing to share knowledge and ask for help when required

Good communication skills (written and oral)

Methodical and thorough in task completion and recording
