iAero (Yeovil) Centre - Project Update - 1000 Wednesday 7th February 2018
We would like to take the opportunity to update you on the progress made in delivering the iAero (Yeovil) Centre and hereby invite you to a briefing being held on Wednesday, 7th February 2018 at The Main Conference Facility, Leonardo Helicopters, Lysander Road, Yeovil, BA20 2YB. Many of you will have previously attended the iAero (Yeovil) Centre awareness event held in July 2016 at Taunton Racecourse and, some of you, will have also been updated at the Supply Chain Opportunity day held at Leonardo Helicopters in March 2017. Somerset County Council has worked in partnership with industry to deliver a purpose built High Value Design technology facility to support and strengthen the competitiveness of the aerospace supply chain. The Centre will enable research, development and innovation and encourage collaboration between the region’s aerospace industry peers, the SME supply chain, academia, research centres and other institutions. The event includes presentations in the morning from James McMicking (Chief Strategy Officer – Aerospace Technology Institute) and David Best (Head of Strategy and Business development, Airbus in the UK). The afternoon will deliver a series of presentations that will focus on the Centre’s potential technology fit-out. Your feedback during this session will help inform how the Centre could be shaped in order to support the needs, growth and development of your industry. Arrival instructions:
On arrival, you will be directed by the security officer to the Visitors Car Park, which is situated to the right of the main entrance. Please be aware that parking is limited, so please car share where possible. When parked please make your way to the main reception where you will find a dedicated reception desk for the event. You will be issued with a security pass for the day, which must be worn at all times. Once presented with your pass you will be escorted to the event location.
If this is your first visit to Leonardo Helicopters (Yeovil) to you may be asked to confirm your identity. Please bring one of the following forms of identity with you:
Passport;
Corporate Photo ID;
Driving Licence.
