Invader Crusader Awards 2013 Protect the Places Where You Play- Keep Invasives Out! Nomination Application

June is Invasive Species Awareness Month! The Wisconsin Invasive Species Council announces the 9th annual Invader Crusader Awards, honoring 2012 Invader Wisconsin citizens and organizations for their significant contribution to Crusaders prevent, control or eradicate invasive species that harm Wisconsin’s lands, waters, and wetlands. Volunteer - Individual: The Council is requesting nominations for individuals, groups, or organizations Eric Tarman-Ramcheck for their exemplary efforts at addressing issues surrounding terrestrial and East Troy, WI aquatic invasive species, including plants and animals. The Invader Crusader Award will be presented in both volunteer and professional categories. Note that both individuals and groups may be nominated. Please consider Volunteer Group: Youth Environmental Projects nominating adults and youth you work with or from your community. of Sauk County (YEPS) Sponsored by Sauk County Recipients of the awards will be recognized at an awards ceremony on June Land Conservation Dept. and 11th taking place at Olbrich Botanical Gardens in Madison, Wisconsin. Award Sauk County UW-Extension recipients will be announced on www.invasivespecies.wi.gov/awareness, the Baraboo, WI Invasive Species Awareness Month website, and in the news media.

Please complete the application on the following page. Although Invader Volunteer Pair: Crusaders will be chosen primarily from the strength of the submitted Martha and John Lunz nomination form, you may attach collaborative documentation for Glendale, WI consideration. Filling out the nomination form completely will assist the selection committee in making the most informed decision. 1) Provide a summary statement including information about what the nominee has done to earn your nomination. The Wisconsin Legislature created the Wisconsin Council on Invasive Species in 2001. The Council is charged with providing recommendations to the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources on invasive species classification and allocation of funds of invasive species control and conducting studies of issues related to controlling invasive species.
