Data Collection Sheet Greek God/Goddess Assignment

Project Due Date: 11/9/16

Assigned Greek God/Goddess

Use this sheet to help you research your Greek god/goddess for your Power Point presentation. Use the information gathered from each question to build your presentation. Place the responses to each question on a separate slide in this order.

1. Title Page: Teammate’s names and class period along with the Greek AND Roman name of the god/goddess. Be creative!

2. Symbols: What symbols are associated with your god/goddess? Do not only provide an image.

3. Domain: What does your god/goddess rule or control?

4. Family Tree: Who is your god/goddess related to? Include their parents, siblings, spouse, children, etc.

5. Weapon: Does this god/goddess have one? If so, what is it? If not, create a theoretical one based on your research.

6. Powers: What special power does your god/goddess have?

7. Personality: What are the special personality traits of your god/goddess? 8. Myth: With your god/goddess as the main character, write a brief summary of a myth they are associated with. You must first make sure you remember the definition of a myth. Define the term before you research this portion.

9. Other Interesting Facts (5 Total): What other identifying characteristics or interesting facts have you discovered about your god/goddess through your research?

10. Relation to Odysseus/The Odyssey: Research how your god/goddess has a connection to the epic. You may discuss his/her encounters with Odysseus or other characters from the tale. If your character does not appear in the work, explain their connection to the work through other characters they are “related” to. You must be able to tie your god/goddess to The Odyssey in some way. Be creative! 

11. Works Cited: You must have a minimum of 3 sources on your Works Cited slide and contained appropriately throughout the power point. Remember to use full MLA citation for the Works Cited slide and parenthetical citations as required for the other slides. You may write your sources on the lines below for future reference.
