Role Summary: This is an ideal opportunity for someone to help take on Mid and North Essex Mind’s collection pot coordination in your local area.
We need volunteers across Mid and North Essex to find new locations to site our collection pots. You will help to drop off, empty and replace collection pots across these locations as well as keep all paperwork up-to-date.
Collection pot coordinators will be out and about in the local community so a driving license and own vehicle would be essential. Mileage will be paid.
This role would be suited to a people of all ages (17+) who would like to get involved with a local charity by helping to raise much needed funds.
We are particularly looking for coordinators to manage our Colchester, Clacton and Maldon pots, so if you live in these areas and have a good geographical knowledge of these locations, this would be ideal.
Key Responsibilities:
Research possible new sites for collection pots, e.g. pubs, hotel receptions, local businesses, shops, cafes etc.
Deal with all relevant paperwork for new collection pot holders – including certificate of authority and pot number allocation. Empty collection pots on a regular basis or as and when holder requests and ensure all monies are brought into the Mid and North Essex Mind head office on a regular basis to ensure prompt thanking.
Replace all collection pots and keep your own records of current collections.
Keep the fundraising team up to date with all progress.

General:
Undertake any relevant training as appropriate The role holder will receive supervision via Service Manager Carry out the role in accordance with all Mid and North Essex Mind’s Policies and Procedures, including Confidentiality, Health and Safety and Equal Opportunities Policies The role holder will be expected to keep themselves up to date on all matters relating to Mid and North Essex Mind’s procedures and policy. The role holder must familiarise themselves with matters relating to health and safety management as they affect them personally and/or Mid and North Essex Mind, reporting any potential risks to life or property immediately in accordance with the Mid and North Essex Mind’s Health and Refrain from smoking in any area of Mid and North Essex Mind’s premises not designated a smoking area.
