Scott Miller – Manager Corporate Affairs Municipal Electric Authority of Georgia (MEAG Power)
Scott Miller has been with MEAG Power for fourteen years. During this time he held the positions of Pricing Manager, Corporate Budgets and Year-end Settlement Manager, Senior Regional Manager and his current position is Manager Corporate Affairs. Prior to MEAG
116-390 Village Blvd. Princeton, NJ 08540 609.452.8060 | www.nerc.com Power, Scott worked for eighteen years at a vertically integrated gas and electric utility where he held various positions involving power plant safety, field engineering, and Director of Rates and Regulatory Affairs.
As a frequent special projects team member, he has worked on corporate accident assessment and prevention programs that encompassed two power plant operations, gas and electric field crews and work place safety. He has developed field service policies and procedures, disaster recovery protocols and corporate operating policies. During his tenure at MEAG Power and in addition to his assigned responsibilities, he assisted municipal governments with their internal operations supporting the City Manager and Operations Manager.
Mr. Miller has an MBA from Bradley University. He served in the United States Air Force and Illinois Air National Guard holding both enlisted and officer ranks. He has been a member of and chairperson of various electric and gas industry organizations. Scott is MEAG Power’s secondary SERC compliance contact and has completed research and paperwork for self and on- site audits and is responsible for coordinating electric generation NERC reliability and developing internal Subject Matter Expert communications.
Mr. Miller is a member of the Standard Quality Review Team working with Maureen Long, APPA Ad Hoc Cyber Team, Large Public Power Council Reliability Team and other industry trade organization committees.
