Title  This Act is the Biosecurity Amendment Act 2008.

Commencement  This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent.

Principal Act amended  This Act amends the Biosecurity Act 1993

Deputy chief technical officers  Section 102(2) is amended by inserting “, including the power to appoint inspectors, authorised persons, and accredited persons” after “under this Act”.
