To advance the practice, science and profession of project management throughout the world in a conscious and proactive manner. PMI Madison Chapter Mission:

PMI Madison South Central Wisconsin chapter is the premier project management organization in the Madison, Wisconsin area, providing professional growth through educational programs, professional development, networking opportunities and support.

A. General Purpose. The PMI Madison South Central Wisconsin chapter has been founded as non- profit, tax exempt corporation (or equivalent) chartered by PMI®, and is dedicated to advancing the practice, science, and profession of project management in a conscious and proactive manner. B. Specific Purposes. Consistent with the terms of the Charter executed between the Chapter and PMI® and these Bylaws, the purposes of the Chapter shall include the following: a) To foster professionalism in the management of projects. b) To contribute to the quality and scope of project management. c) To stimulate appropriate local application of project management for the benefit of the general public. d) To educate, engage its members and provide a recognized forum for the free exchange of ideas, applications, and solutions to project management issues among its members, and others interested and involved in project management. e) To identify and promote the fundamentals of project management and advance the body of knowledge for managing projects successfully. f) Give strong support to the purposes of the PMI and assist in carrying out the objectives of PMI. g) To enhance the member experience and networking in project management. h) To maintain a working relationship with PMI Region 2 and neighboring chapters. i) To provide training and development opportunities for members.

Brainstorm of other goals: The strategy for goal alignment and ownership:  Develop each strategy into a SMART goal  Work through the word document around the three goals for the year  How do we measure each goal  Who is accountable for the three goals. Also:  Determine how often we are going to review the goals (monthly basis).  Determine how status reporting will be done.

Other meeting topics:

Board Meetings: Strategic board meetings will be held every 1st Thursday of every month between 12- 1pm.  Led by President.  Always include status of 1 year goals. VPs will meet with their team  VPs to determine the frequency of meeting.  Can use Conference Bridge when not scheduled for strategic board meeting. Full board meetings will be held on quarterly basis  Led by President  State of the chapter  Status if operational activities, issues, road blocks.
