Minor in Creative Writing (15 credit hours)

No course with a grade below C- will count.

Students should meet the course requirements listed below:

 ENG-L 202 - Literary Interpretation (3 hrs.)   ENG-W 203 - Creative Writing (3 hrs.)   ENG-W 301 - Writing Fiction* or ENG-W 303 - Writing Poetry* (3 hrs.)   One of the following (3 hrs.) ENG-A 190 or ENG-A 399 - Art, Aesthetics, and Creativity (fulfills Common Core for General Ed.) ENG-W 301 - Writing Fiction* ENG-W 303 - Writing Poetry* ENG-W 401 or ENG-W 403 - Advanced Fiction Writing* or other creative writing course approved by advisor

 One of the following upper-level British, American, or Comparative Literature courses that emphasizes the historical context for writing (3 hrs.) ENG-E 301, 302, 303, 304** ENG-L 350, 351, 352, 354** or 300-level or above literature course approved by advisor
