Making the Shaklee Business Work for You In any new business, there are a lot of new things to learn and in time, you will learn about the Shaklee business. You don’t have to learn it all first, but you do need learn and understand a few basic steps that are essential to your success in building your new Shaklee business.

Your Shaklee PWS is your prospecting and sponsoring center for both the products and the business.

The first 3 steps can be accomplished at one time in a matter of minutes, and are the steps that get you in and ready to start your business. The next step is the most important step to make the Shaklee business work for you.

Step 4. Flip the Switch

Switch brands and re-direct the same amount of money you were spending into your Shaklee business. Each rep you recruit does the same thing, and the reps they recruit do the same thing, and so on. That’s how you earn 100% of your residual income in Shaklee.

In Shaklee, you must be willing to flip that switch yourself because no one can do that for you. When you join Shaklee, no switch is flipped that automatically transfers all of the Household Consumer Products you are currently using that you are buying every month from several different sources.

Another factor is that most people do not realize how many products, and how much money is being spent every month on those products, we are talking about. Unlike a telephone bill, these expenditures are hidden throughout the home.

There is only one way to visually grasp this, and I challenge you to invest about 30 minutes of your time to do this. I did this when I first joined and it was a major eye opener, I got it, and it made all the difference in the world in my understanding of how to make the Shaklee business work for me. The Challenge

Go through every room, cupboard, basement, garage, etc. in your home and pull out -- every nutritional supplement, personal care product, hair care product, skin care product, cosmetic product, household cleaning product, laundry product, kitchen/dish care product, air/water filter product, and put all these products on your dining room table.

It will possibly take you about 30 minutes. As you look at the massive display of products sitting on your table, they represent your monthly PV. These are products you are already using and spending X amount of $ on every month. Now that you have joined to build a Shaklee business, you need to flip that switch yourself and replace all of those different brands of products that you are purchasing from many different sources to one brand and one source — Shaklee.

Shaklee products are the best products of their kind. Shaklee products are the most clinically researched, the safest, most natural products you can buy, bar none. More on this at a later time.

Flip the Switch in your home. Teach each of your new recruits to Flip the Switch (each recruit represents a household with a dining room table full of our kinds of products) in their home. You will have more volume and make more money than you ever thought possible. Understanding the Shaklee Pricing Structure

In Shaklee, we use a four-tier price structure. Here is a brief explanation of the price structure, who pays what price for products, and how you can qualify to receive the lowest price possible. Here are the definitions:

SRP — Suggested Retail Price is the price charged to non-members, typically those who just want to try a product once to see if they like it.

MN — Member Price, is the price members pay upon joining Shaklee, which is 15% off the SRP.

DN — Distributor Price, is the price distributors pay who have personally purchased 100 PV and also reach the first PV bonus level of 250 PV. DN is 12% off the MN price.

SN — Business Leader Price, is the lowest price. You must be a Shaklee business leader, Director or above rank, to be at this price level. PV — Point Volume is not really a price. PV is the points earned when products are purchased. PV points are used for qualification purposes for PV bonus levels, rank levels, leadership bonuses, and to compute bonus checks.

In the month following the month you qualify for the Director title, you will be at the SN price level.

This is the price you will always pay - as long as you remain a business leader at the Director rank and above. You will also receive the price differentials on orders placed by every member/distributor in your personal group who are at the DN price and the MN price.

More money in your pocket. How much do you want to pay?

Would you agree that most people are price-conscious when it comes to the products they buy? How about you? Have you ever gone out of your way a mile or more to save 4 cents a gallon on gas, and all that to save 80 cents on a 20-gallon fill-up?

Why do most people become members in Shaklee? So they don’t have to pay retail and save 15% on everything they buy every month. Next, there is the DN price that people strive to get to because they save even more money, right? Lastly, by getting to the Director level, you are able to buy your Shaklee products for the lowest possible price, right? NOPE.

People think it’s worth their time to go out of their way to drive across town to save 80 cents on gas. Let’s consider why it’s worth the time for a person to go out of their way for a few months to build their PV to higher bonus levels that will end up saving them thousands of dollars over their lifetime on the Shaklee products they buy and use in their own home. Let’s look at the real cost of a can of Shaklee Energizing Soy Protein. SRP 37.95 MN 32.25 DN 27.85 SN 25.30 PV 25.30

Most people know that the PV bonus schedule is used to pay bonuses on each month. However, many do not realize that the PV bonus schedule is also used to lower the cost on the products you buy for your home, and it can mean huge savings! Remember that money saved is money earned — money you get to keep and use for other things. Look at how the PV bonus schedule drops the price of a can of protein.

You are a Director and pay the SN price of $25.30, and you receive 25.30 PV (1:1 ratio). Subtract the PV bonus you earn when you buy a can of protein. That is your (real cost) for your can of protein. 2000 PV your bonus is 16% X 25.30 = $4.05 ($21.25) 2500 PV your bonus is 20% X 25.30 = $5.06 ($20.24) 3000 PV your bonus is 24% X 25.30 = $6.07 ($19.23) 4000 PV your bonus is 28% X 25.30 = $7.08 ($18.22) 5000 PV your bonus is 30% X 25.30 = $7.59 ($17.71) 7000 PV your bonus is 32% X 25.30 = $8.10 ($17.20) 10,000 PV your bonus is 34% X 25.30 = $8.60 ($16.70) The difference between what a member pays ($32.25) and a 5000 PV Director pays ($17.71) for a can of protein is $14.54. That is a major cost savings and using a can a month is a savings of $174.48 in a year and that is on a single product! Can you begin to see the savings on 8, 10, 15, or 20 or more products a person is using in their home, and then how those savings would add up over a 5 or 10-year period? We are talking thousands of dollars in savings, which is money kept/earned that can be used for other things.

This example provides another reason why you want to be a business leader (Director and above ranks) and focus on building your personal group volume to the higher bonus levels- at least 5000 PV. The reason is two-fold: you make a lot more money and you pay a lot less for your own products. Isn’t that one of the main goals of being a business owner in the first place- to make more money, and to buy your products at the lowest possible wholesale price? You bet it is! Now do you see why you want to Shakleeize your home?
