Selection of Managers - Prior to the end of the regular season, the Coaching Coordinator will contact each Manager and Coach of all Minor and Major teams to get a list of interested candidates. Any Major Manager or Coach may enter his name to manage the 11-12 All-Star Team. Any Major OR Minor Manager or Coach may enter his name to manage the 11 Team or the 9-10 Team. - After creating a ballot, the Coaching Coordinator will collect votes for all three manager positions from all Board Members, all Major and Minor managers and their 2 designated assistant coaches. - When voting is completed, the ballots will be tallied. The candidates with the most votes for each team (11-12, 11 and 9-10) will be named the All-Star manager for their respective team (pending board approval). - The Manager Selection Process must be completed before the team selections commence.

Selection of Players

11-12 Year Old Team - Players must have played in, at least, one half of their team’s games. - All 11 & 12 year old players at the Majors level are eligible for nomination to this team. - The player agent and each manager of a Major League team are required to attend the player nomination meeting. If a manager is unavailable, then the team coach will be asked to attend. - If neither manager nor coach can attend the manager must provide the Player Agent with all relevant information. - Managers will nominate players from their own team. Each manager may nominate as many of their 11 and 12 year olds as they see fit. - Once nominations of players have been made, managers will be given the chance to talk about their nominee or remove the player from consideration. After all managers have talked about their player, a written vote will be taken. - The Player Agent will count the votes. In case of a tie, the vote will be retaken. If a tie cannot be broken, the Player Agent will cast the deciding vote. - A ranked list of, at least, three alternate players should be prepared to assist in selecting replacement players if needed. If that list is exhausted, the All Star Manager will select replacements. - If a player declines to play on any All Star team, they cannot be selected on another All Star team. - The 11-12 Team is the first team selected.

11 Year Old Team - Only players that participated in, at least, one half of their team’s games at the Major or Minor level are eligible for selection to this team. - After the 11-12 Team is selected, the 11 Team should be selected (at the same meeting). - Taking into account the nominations previous obtained from the Minor managers (by the Player Agent), the Major Managers vote on the eligible 11 year-old players. - The Player Agent will count the votes. In case of a tie, the vote will be retaken. If a tie cannot be broken, the Player Agent will cast the deciding vote. 9-10 Year Old Team - Ultimately the 9-10 Team is selected by the All Star Manager. - Prior to the selection of the actual team, the All Star Manager holds an All Star Camp. The purpose of this camp is to recognize those 9-10 players that have had All Star level seasons, and to provide the All Star Manager with an opportunity to evaluate the kids before selecting the 12 players that will make the best tournament team. - Ten year-old players from the Majors are automatically invited to the camp. The remaining camp spots are selected by the Minor Managers at the Camp Selection Meeting. - The player agent and each manager from the Minor League are required to attend the player nomination meeting. If a manager is unavailable, then the team coach will be asked to attend. - If neither manager or coach can attend, the manager must provide the Player Agent with all relevant information. - Managers will nominate players from their own team. Selection of Coaches - Selection of coaches is done by the All Star Manager after the selection of the players. The coaches are not official until they are approved by the board. - Coaches must have been an official Minor or Major Manager or Coach during the regular season. And therefore must have gone through the background checks. - If the All-Star team has 12 players there is only one coach allowed. If there are 13 players, you are allowed 2 assistant coaches.
