Experience Meade School District 46-1 Sturgis, SD Industrial Technology Instructor, 2003-Present Welding, Computer Aided Drafting, Industrial Technology, and Building Trades instructor for Meade School District 46-1. Participate in SkillsUSA and the welding programs has had 100% chapter for the past two years has produced state welding champions six out of past seven years. Welding, Building Trades and CAD programs are approved state programs.

Classes taught: CAD I, II, & III, Welding I and II, Welding Projects, Industrial Technology, Building Trades/Construction, Woodworking I and II

CORSICA SCHOOL DISTRICT Corsica, SD Industrial Arts Instructor, 1998-2003 Constructed two Technology houses 2001-2003: developed floor plan; built houses directly on foundation along with attached garage; designed and built cabinets and vanities; assisted with plumbing, electrical and concrete subcontractors; and worked on and supervised students on all aspects of construction.

Classes taught: Drafting, AutoCAD I & II, Advanced AutoCAD, Woodworking I, II & III, Small Engines, Welding, Exploring Technology and Construction.

Created module stations for exploring technology; transformed aged establishment into indoor archery shooting range; supervised and instructed students in the correct procedure for designing and building small and large welding and carpentry projects; constructed lockers for new school addition; improved sports complex barrier; replaced city baseball dugouts; responsible for Annual Perkins Grant funding and helped to develop the South Dakota Crosswalk for Technology Education curriculum.

Extra-curricular Sturgis: CTE Department Chair for Meade School District 2008-present, Principals Advisory Committee 2006-present, Skills USA Advisor 2003-present, T-Cap award recipient in 2008, State Welding standards review committee 2009, Wrote new Geometry in Construction Standards 2010, Teachers as Advisors 2006-present, Boys Basketball coach 2003-present, Assistant Varsity Track Coach 2005-2009, Aspiring Leaders conference 2009, ACTE member 2003-present. While in Corsica: Assistant Football Coach: 40-13 record; 1999 State “9B” Champions. Assistant Track Coach: State “B” Boy’s Runner-up in 1999; State “B” Boy’s Champions in 2000. Middle school Basketball coach 2000-2003, Junior Class Advisor 1998-2003.
