OBJECTIVE I am interested in consulting or contract assignments where I can apply my experience as a systems engineer and mechanical engineer. I am seeking a challenging position in product implementation and business development with growth across multiple lines of business. Engineering projects welcomed.

EXPERIENCE

08/2009 to Present: Legacy Engineering, LLC, Irvine, CA  Consultant. Various assignments.

10/1998 to 2009: DRS Sensors & Targeting Systems Cypress, CA.  Senior Systems Engineer. Managed supply chain for the Future Combat Systems (SREO) Armor implementation. Contract was ahead of schedule and tests, below contract cost, and the solution presented at the design review. Planned and conducted onsite DVE demos that lead to successful contracts with both the U.S. Navy Seabees ($14M) and the Denmark Military ($400K). These are new customers for DRS and the systems are deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan. Program Managed DVE and provided major engineering contributions to IBAS, and FEP prior to production release. Lead Engineer on the most significant RSTA data collects (video and photo) over the last 8 years, including smoke and pyrotechnic video work for the FCS Proposal; SBINet Tucson Imagery of illegal’s walking at 7km used in the proposal; DENVG IR vs. I2 video and training photo’s presented in the proposal; and National Training Center 360 degree situational awareness imagery was used by DRS Marketing and presented at AUSA. Consistently funded and tasked by DRS divisions in Dallas and Florida to collect data and make presentations to our military customers. Travelled to major U.S. Bases and Europe to install and demonstrate DRS products including HTI, FEP, TWS, and DVE. Travelled to Finland, France, Italy, Denmark, and the U.K. This has resulted in follow-on DVE contracts, DRS on the Stryker Platform and MRAP, and DVE evaluation on Army trucks in the U.S. and Iraq. Unique cross- platform skills in engineering and business development to provide key field support that has lead to contract dollars. Directed and managed complete projects from the office to the field to processing the data collected, including Afghan Village video, Baker smoke and dust IR pictures, Denmark Leopard II install, and numerous others. 08/1985 to 10/1998: Raytheon Sensor Systems/Hughes Aircraft Company  Project/Systems/Mechanical Engineer. Lead Mechanical Engineer for TWS (Thermal Weapon Sight) assembly and composite housing that produced first successful composite housing for Raytheon soldier systems. Light-weight and high- strength NightSight IR System. Integrated video, wrote the installation manual, and demonstrated the system. Briefed our teaming partner Texas Instruments. NightSight was the first commercial infrared camera for law enforcement.
