South District Police has arrested an interstate gang of auto lifters and recovered twenty seven stolen vehicles i.e. Two Tata Indica Car, One Maruti Zen Car, Two Bajaj Discover Motor Cycles, One Glamour Hero Honda Motor Cycle ,One Hero Honda CV Deluxe Motor Cycle, One Hero Honda Splendour Motor Cycle, One Hero Honda Passion Motor Cycle, One Yamaha FZ Motor Cycle, One XCD Bajaj Motor Cycle, Six Bajaj Chetak Scooters, Six Bajaj Super Scooters, Four stolen LML Scooters and bunch of Keys and thus solved several cases of vehicle thefts of Delhi & Haryana

ACCUSED ARRESTED:

1. Nazir @ Gandhi 20 years S/O Hamid R/O H.No.2, Village Kuraini, Narela,Delhi.

2. Salim aged 30 years S/O Rafiq R/O Village Dhaulana, Distt. Ghaziabad (U.P). 3. Gurbachan aged 45 years S/O Deshraj R/O D-39, Mansa Ram Park, Uttam Nagar, New Delhi. 4. Ashok Kumar @ Ashu aged 44 years S/O Rajkumar R/O H.No.D- 373, Nawada Extn., Uttam Nagar, Delhi.

TEAM, INCIDENT & ARREST

In the recent past, the vehicle theft increased in various parts of Delhi and in the N.C.R. In order to prevent these incidents and to nab the criminals involved in these vehicle thefts several teams were constituted. A team of Anti Auto Theft Squad, South District consisting of ASIs Samay Singh, Om Parkash, Hawa Singh, HCs Parmod Kumar, Abdul Hakim, Jasraj singh, Satyawan, Rakesh Tomar, Arvind, Sukhvinder and Cts. Ajay Tokas .Amit Kumar,Nihal Singh, Anil Kumar, Umesh Kumar, Kanwal Singh, Kanwar pal singh , A.Rehman, Tulsi Ram ,Yoginder singh,Aman, Ct(Dvr) Naresh and Ct(Dvr) Satpal headed by Sub Inspector Balihar Singh , I/C AATS and overall supervision of Sh Bal Krishan ACP/Operations was formed to further develop the information and apprehend the accused involved in these incidents.

The team so formed worked relentlessly and collected details of several criminals with similar modus- operandi and activated their secret informers to collect the information of the criminal’s gang who are involved in these vehicle thefts. These details were analyzed minutely and it came to notice that the gang of notorious auto lifter “Tayyab” and his associates is involved the vehicle thefts in the areas of Delhi and Haryana. The hard work of police team bore results and upon specific information accused Nazir @`Gandhi an associate of Tayyab gang was apprehended while he was on way to dispose off one stolen Motor cycle and he was arrested in FIR No. 211 /10 dated 23.05.2010 u/s 411/482 IPC P.S. Malviya Nagar, New Delhi. The other associates were further arrested on the basis of information and disclosure of accused Nazir @ Gandhi.

INTERROGATION, MODUS OPERANDI AND PROFILE

During the interrogation, it was revealed that Nazir@ Gandhi is an associate of Tayyab a notorious auto lifter but Nazir @ Gandhi has been arrested first time by the police. One Rizwan, a cousin of Nazir @ Gandhi is residing in Narela, Delhi and he is married in Vill Parsouli near Baraut, U.P which is native village of Whenever Nazir @`Gandhi was Tayyab. In this way, he came in intercepted by the police while having contact with Tayyab and indulged in his possession of a stolen vehicle, himself in the activities of vehicle he used to flee away by leaving the thefts. Whenever Nazir @`Gandhi stolen vehicle at the spot. Such was intercepted by the police while incidents happened in the area of Police Stns Budana, U.P., Merrut, U.P., having in his possession of a stolen Sonepat, Haryana and Narela, Delhi and vehicle, he used to flee away by the abandoned vehicles are lying leaving the stolen vehicle at the deposited there. He has also confessed spot. Such incidents happened in that he took help of some minors of the area of Police Stns Budana, slum area of Narela in the vehicle theft U.P., Merrut, U.P., Sonepat, and these facts are being verified. Haryana and Narela, Delhi and the abandoned vehicles are lying deposited there. He has also confessed that he took help of some minors of slum area of Narela in the vehicle theft and these facts are being verified. He has also disclosed the names of Idrish of Meerut and Aneesh of Ghaziabad but their roles are being verified. This gang is active in almost every part of Delhi and the disposal of stolen vehicles is in Meerut and some other parts of U.P.

Nazir@ Gandhi was born in the year of 1990 at Village Kuraini, Narela, Delhi and he studied upto 9th class. He came in contact with bad elements from his childhood and involved himself in criminal activities. He has been arrested first time.

Salim was born in the year of 1970 at Village Dhaulana, Distt. Gaziabad (U.P). He is illeterate. He is motor cycle mechanic by profession and having a small road side work shop in Dadri. He has also been arrested first time. He is receiver of stolen motor cycle.

Gurbachan was born in the year 1965 in Chandigarh and shifted to Delhi in the year 1990. He is illeterate and a kabari by profession. The scooters have been recovered from his godown located at Nagli Sakrawati, New Delhi. He was arrested last year at P.S. Rajouri Garden in a theft case. He is in the business of scrap (kabari) since 2000. Ashok Kumar @ Ashu was born in the year 1966 in Ambala Cantt, Haryana and later on shifted to Delhi. He is a graduate of Delhi University and was selected as constable in BSF but he left the job during the initial training. He became drug addict and indulged himself in the activities of vehicle theft since 2005 but he has been arrested first time by the police.

BLIND MURDER CASE OF SECURITY GUARD SOLVED

With the arrest of Surya Kant Mahlik, Age 27 Years s/o Padma Lochan Mahlik r/o VIllage Balik Trina, PO Anantpur, PS Soro, Distt. Balasore, Orissa, Police Station Hauz Khas have solved a blind murder case of security guard Mahavir s/o Vashist Singh, who was found in unconscious badly injured condition in the jungles of Sri Fort, DDA Park on13.05.2010. INCIDENT On 13.05.2010 at about 11:15 am an information through PCR was received at Police Station, Hauz Khas regarding recovery of an injured person in the Sri Fort Park. On the receipt of this information, police reached the spot and found that the injured had already been removed to AIIMS Trauma Hospital with severely wounded head in unconscious state. One small bag with clothes was also found near the body. On reaching the spot Police found blood splattered on the pave way leading from jungle side to BRT Corridor. Police had no clue about the identity of accused and the motive behind the crime. Accordingly, initially a case FIR No. 157/10 u/s 307 IPC was registered at Police Station, Hauz Khas and on next day, the injured succumbed to his injuries in the hospital and the section of law was amended to 302 IPC. INVESTIGATION AND ARREST In view of the gravity of the offence, a dedicated team of the officer consisting of SHO/Hauz Khas, Insp. Atul Kumar, Insp. Ramesh Kalsan, SI Jaiveer, HC Islamuddin, HC Hukam chand, Const. Vinay Kumar and Const. Rajan was constituted under the overall supervision of ACP Hauz Khas Shri Mehar Singh. During the investigation the police team came to know that the deceased Mahavir Singh was working with one reputed Security Guard Company (Sky Lark Group) and was assigned duty at Raheja Square, Maneshar. Police conducted thorough enquiry at the place of work of guard but nothing useful came to light from the interrogation of the other security guards and labours residing at Raheja Square. It also transpired that the guard Mahaveer used to sell eggs and channas at industrial area near Raheja Square during off time. It became a mystery for the police as to how did deceased Mahaveer reaches Sri Fort park. Then police team focused its attention in conducting investigation at Sky Lark Group Office at Gurgaon. During the sustained enquiry, it came to notice that the deceased Mahavir had received salary for the month of April on 12.05.10 from main office at Gurgaon. Thereafter the police concentrated on its investigation near the BRT Corridor and it transpired that the same company had deployed Guard at BRT Corridor and the police started interrogating the BRT Corridor guards. During this process, it surfaced that there was a strike call given on 13.05.10 by the guard association for the payment and enhancing the salary. From the enquiry it was also found that one BRT guard namely Suryakant had also taken the part salary for the month of March on 12-05-10 from Gurgaon office. Then the police started working on this angel and looked for Suryakant. And it was found that he was staying in a rented portion with his brother in law Pratap in Shahpur Jatt. The police team raided various places in search of Suryakant in Delhi, Gurgaon and Noida but he was not traceable at any of these places. The police team further came to know that the alleged Suryakant was seen along with the deceased on the morning of the fateful day by one fellow guard Ashok Pandey around 6:30 am while going towards DDA Park. The investigation revealed that he has already left for Orissa on 14-05-2010. Accordingly the police team led by SHO Hauz Khas, Insp. Atul Kumar alongwith Insp. Ramesh, SI Jaiveer, HC Hukamchand and Const. Vinay Kumar proceeded to Orissa for apprehending Suryakant at his native village but he was not found present there. Police party also raided at several places at his possible hideouts but he could not be traced. Thereafter police party developed sources at Soro and on a secret tip of, on 23- 05-2010 that the said Suryakant Malick is hiding in jungle side area in village Kuruda, Distt: Balasore, Orissa. Police party raided that place and apprehended him from village Karuda near jungle area. He was then produced in the court of Balashore and took him on remand. At the time of his arrest Rs. 5100/- were recovered from his possession, which was robbed from the deceased. During interrogation he disclosed that he had already left the job of security guard from Sky Lark Company and was in dire need of money. As such, he went to office of Sky Lark on 12-05-10 for getting the part payment as a salary for nine days, there he happened to meet Mahaveer who had also taken salary from the Sky Lark. Where he knew that Mahaveer had money with him and is in the lookout for the job. On this he immediately plotted a plan and induced Mahaveer on the pretext of providing him a security guard job at Khanpur and brought Mahaveer alongwith him to Delhi. Where next morning he took the deceased Mahaveer to Siri Fort Park for resting, while going in the jungle he picked a piece of wood stick and hit unsuspecting Mahaveer with force from the backside on his head and he gave another blow on his head. Mahaveer immediately fell down in a pool of blood and he took search of Mahaveer. He took out Rs. 8600/- rupees from the pocket and fled from the spot

PROFILE OF ACCUSED:

Accused had studied upto 8th class in Orissa and came in the search of job at Delhi he started working as Security Guard with one export company in Noida and thereafter he tookup the job of security guard as traffic marshall at BRT Corridor. He was well versed with the topography of Sri Fort Park.

RECOVERIES :

The accused was taken on police custody remand and during custody the following recoveries were effected from his possession/instance.

1. The weapon of offence that is blood stained, wooden stick 2. Rs. 5100/- allegedly robbed from the deceased.

INTERSTATE GANG OF AMARICAN EXPRESS / ICICI BANK CREDIT CARD CHEATS BUSTED. TWO OF THE GANG MEMBERS OF THE INTERSTATE GANG INVOLVED IN CHEATING BY MISUSING CREDIT CARDS OF SHOWROOM OWNERS IN MALLS AND POSH MARKETS OF NCR, MOBILES, LAPTOP RECOVERED.

The South District police have arrested the two members of a interstate gang of cheats, who were involved in duping showroom owner of reputed Malls and Posh market in located in NCR. Two Mobile phones, one Laptop have been recovered from their possession.

INCIDENT :

TEAM AND ARREST :

When prolonged efforts to apprehend the culprits did not yield result Sh. Mehar Singh ACP/Hauz Khas constituted a team under the supervision of Sh. Pankaj Singh SHO/ Saket consisting of Inspector Dharam Dev, SI Parveen Kumar along with PSI Bharat Lal , Cont. Surender 702/SD and Const. Niranjan 669/SD of PS Saket. The team activated its sources and consequently developed the information and on 22-5-10 identified one Vikas @ Babbu of NIT Faridabad on the basis of Photograph provided by the shopkeepers. One Vicky Arora who was also identified on the basis of information provided by Shopkeepers. It was revealed that both these boys are cousin. Intense pressure was created on the accused persons and finally Saket Police was able to nab both Vikas @ Babbu and Vicky Arora on 23-5-2010 Raids were conducted to apprehend the remaining accused Vippin Pahwa who is evading his arrest.

Accused Vicky had just studied upto 4th class. His father had a eating joint shop near Neelam Chowk Faridabad. Accused Vicky is drug addict and consumes Proxi-1 capsules and Alprex tablets.

Accused Vikas studied upto 8th standard and his father owns a dairy product shop in NIT Faridabad. He is also drug addict and consumes Proxi-1 capsules and Alprex tablets.

INTERROGATION AND MODUS OPERANDIE :

The interrogation of the accused revealed that one Vippin Pahwa of NIT Faridabad is the gang leader who formed a gang including his friends Vicky and Vikas @ Babbu. Vippin is expert in computer functions and is well versed with the functioning of credit cards. He used to procure credit cards from the courier boys and make fake IDs, pen cards, Driving licence etc. in the name of the card holders with the help of computer graphics and scanning. Vippin Pahwa provided Fake IDs and credit cards to Vicky and Vikas and briefed them to use even the closed credit cards in offline mode and sale comp. They targeted the showrooms of posh malls in Delhi, Noida and Faridabad wherein Black EDC machines of Amex bank were being used for swapping the credit cards. Vippin Pahwa knew that if a closed/stop payment card is punched on black EDC machine of Amex bank in offline mode and pass code is entered the transaction slips will generate with ‘offline’ printed on it, even if the machine is not put on offline mode and machine is punched and machine asks to contact bank and then the password is entered after punching the machine the transaction slip will generate with ‘Sale Comp.’ printed on it. Though these are not valid transaction slips, in offline mode the EDC machines acts like a simple printer and does not gets connected to the Bank, but most of the retailers were unaware of this fact that they should entertain only such transaction slips which clearly mention ‘Sale’ printed on the transaction/charge slip and not the ones which shows OFFLINE or SALE COMP. printed on it. The accused used to go to such showrooms mostly at closing time in a group along with a lady and children so that no body suspects them to be cheats, and when on swiping such cards the transaction slips did not generat, they used to swipe the cards again and enter pass words on pretext of entering security code. Keeping in view the huge purchase and closing hours retailers being unaware of the proper facts in a confused state used to accept the charge slips so generated. This way several showrooms including Shoppers Stop, Gizmos, Levice Store, E Zone, Planet M, Digitus Electronics, Life Style, Jumbo Electronics, RPG Cellcome, Welhome, Croma, at select city mall Saket, Greate India Palace Noida, Center Stage mall Noida, and Faridabad were duped to the tune of around Rs. 10-15 Lacs in this manner

A gang of dacoits busted

INTRODUCTION: With the arrest of four accused persons mentioned below, the P.S. Shalimar Bagh Delhi, has prevented a dacoity to be committed at petrol pump, Haiderpur, Outer Ring Road.

INCIDENT:- On 26.5.10 at about 6.40 pm, a secret information was received that a gang of dacoits would assemble in Kainchi wala bagh, Haiderpur, Outer Ring Roadand then they would plan to loot the Haiderpur petrol pump in the vicinity of Kainchi wala bagh, Outer Ring Road. Therefore, a raiding party with the help of the following staff was formed who took position at the stated places. At about 8 pm, 5 young boys riding on 2 motor cycles came from Haiderpur petrol pump side and entered the Kainchi wala bagh by parking their motor cycles at the gate of Kainchi wala bagh. At about 8.20 pm, on the signal of decoy a raid was conducted and 4 dacoits were apprehended whereas one escaped.

POLICE TEAM:- A team of the following officers under the close supervision of ACP/Shalimar Bagh Sh. Hari Darshan was constituted who worked hard, developed information and arrested the accused persons.

INVESTIGATION:- The primary investigation revealed that Kainchi wala bagh on Outer Ring Road is supposed to be a safer place by the criminals to plan for any crime as it is situated at the Outer Ring Road and very few people come for walking etc. and easy routes to escape on the Outer Ring Road as well as on the banks of Haiderpur canal. On the basis of secret information, the four accused persons were nabbed whereas one escaped due to darkness and illicit weapons & two stolen motor cycles were recovered from them.

INTERROGATION:- The gang is headed by Mulesh Kumar and on interrogation he revealed that he along with his other accomplices namely Sunil, Sonu, Sandeep and Pappu was hard pressed and they needed money for their daily needs. For this purpose, they procured a 9 mm pistol with 3 live cartridges, desi kattaas well as other materials like chilli powder, iron rod stole two motor cycles to loot the petrol pump near Haiderpur. They had an inside information that during peak hours, an huge cash amount remains available at the petrol pump with the cashier which can easily be looted. After making preparations, they assembled in the Kainchi wala bagh but apprehended on the basis of secret information.

Motive:-

Motive was apparently to loot the petrol pump. All the four accused persons are jobless and local goons.

Sonu :- He did a course in Hotel Management (3 years) after 10+2 from Inderlok, Delhi. Now a days, he is working as a waiter(catering) in a Mithaas restaurant, South Delhi and feels frustrated because after doing Hotel Management course, he did not get a good job.

Sandeep :- He studied up to 7th class and is a casual labor in the village. As his father has since expired, so he also fell in bad company.

Dhirpur, Delhi. aged – 36 yrs. 3. Ravinder Singh s/o Shyam Lal r/o H No. 371, Vill. Dhirpur, Delhi aged – 36 yrs. police of P.S Mukherjee Nagar has solved sensational day dacoity which occurred on 22.5. 2010 in H No. 1573, Outram Lane, Mukherjee Nagar, Delhi. The police has also recovered 2 country made pistols, 5 cartridges, a Tata Indica Car having registration No. HR-51 J 5192 and one motorcycle.

INCIDENT On 22.5.2010, at about 11:45 A.M, three armed dacoits two of them carrying country made pistols and one having knife barged into H No. 1573, Outram Lane belonging to Senior Citizen Sh. Rajender Khosla aged 68 yrs. They started threatening the family members and demanded the bag containing money and overpowered Rajender Khosla and his wife Smt. Santosh. Smt. Santosh fainted but her husband Mr. Rajender Khosla dared to fight back with the intruders.

 One of the intruder who was carrying a knife whirled knife at Mr. Khosla in order to kill him but Mr. Khosla saved himself by putting his hand which resulted in sharp injury.

 The other intruder then fired at Mr. Khosla but the cartridges misfired and when he tried to reload his katta, Mr. Khosla pounced at him.

 The intruder hit him on the head with the butt of his Katta. During the scuffle, katta and cartridges fell down.

 In the mean time, his associate tried to fire at Mr. Khosla but fortunately it too misfired.

 The second intruder again loaded the katta and fired but it again misfired.

In the ensuing melee Daughter in Law of Mr. Khosla managed to escape and come out of the house. She raised an alarm which made the intruders nervous. Two of the intruders managed to escape leaving behind their weapons while one of them later identified as Sunil @ Sanjeev s/o Bhopal Singh r/o Gali No. 10, Subhash Nagar, Meerut, U.P was overpowered by Mr. Khosla.

A case vide FIR No. 201/10 dt. 22.05.2010 u/s 452/398/307/120B IPC & 25/27 Arms Act was registered at PS Mukerjee Nagar, Delhi and investigation taken up.

POLICE TEAM

A police team consisting of Inspr. Satender Singh, SHO, Inspr. (Investigation) Rajesh Dahiya, SI Ajay, SI Pradeep, ASI Rohtash, HC Brijpal, Ct. Meghraj, Ct. Ashokan, Ct. Kush Vaidwan, Ct. Pradeep and Ct. Rajender was formed to investigate the matter under supervision of Smt. Pratima Sharma, ACP/Model Town.

INVESTIGATION

On interrogation, Sunil disclosed that on a local tip off he alongwith his two western UP based criminals associates had come to rob the house of Mr. Khosla. From further investigation it was found that the information was given by no other than the driver of Mr. Rajendera Khosla. The driver namely Raj Singh @ Raju s/o Shiv Ram r/o H No. 6, Vill. Dhirpur, Delhi was in touch with his school friend Ravinder Singh s/o Shyam Lal r/o H No. 371, Vill. Dhirpur who in turn introduced him two western UP based criminals who were the masterminds behind the incident. He with the active connivance of Ravinder and Raj Singh mentioned above planned the dacoity. Raj Singh, the driver, has given the information that his owner Mr. Khosla has a very flourishing business in Sadar Bazar and in the morning he carries a bag which contained heavy cash. It was this bag which the intruders were asking at the time of incident. The co-accused was helping Azad and his associates to process the information and reiki the place of incident. On the day of incident also, the driver Raj Singh just before coming to house of his owner met Ravinder and his western UP based associates. He went to the house of Mr. Khoshla and the intruders in their red Indica car followed him. Ravinder was keeping watch at the corner of the park near the house of Mr. Khoshla but when the dacoity bid was foiled with the daring and exceptional courage of Mr. khoshla they all ran away. The accused Sunil, when caught and overpowered by Mr. khosla bite at the hand of Mr. Khosla in order to escape. It is through the hard work and sincere efforts of police staff of P.S. Mukherjee Nagar the mystery of the information to the accused was unraveled. In fact during investigation it was found that previously Sunil alongwith his western UP associates had earlier committed a robbery in western UP in which they robbed Rs. 8,00,000/- from a business man. In that case they are presently on bail. Surprisingly it had also been found that the driver Raj Singh @ Raju had also two previous criminal involvements but his owner was not aware of it and has not got verified his driver from local police.
