Dubuque County Zoning Check List for Required Final Plat Signatures *Please acquire all of the signatures listed--put all signatures on the Original Plat. Note: The original Plat must be filed with the Zoning Office with all of the signatures . shown on page 1 of this check list. The final Plat must be received by the Zoning office at least 20 days before the Zoning Meeting. Required signatures for all final Plats must be completed within 60 days of the date the plat was filed with the Zoning office. Failure to complete in 60 days may result in denial by the Board of Supervisors. ______*Licensed Land Surveyor registered in the State of Iowa

______*Attorney’s Certificate Step 1: Deliver abstract to abstract company for continuation. Step 2: Take Plat to your attorney for the Title Opinion. (May take up to two weeks for both)
______*Bank Consent (Required only if there is a mortgage on the property)
______*Road Naming Committee(Bill Welter 589-4498 Courthouse-5th Floor)
______*County Treasurer (Courthouse– 1st Floor) Property taxes will be due.
______*County Assessor (Courthouse– 1st Floor)
______*County Engineer – Bret Wilkinson - 13047 City View Office (Call First: 557-7283 to see if he is in - hours 7 AM-3:30 PM)
______*County BOARD OF HEALTH –Meetings-Check w/Health Office for Time and date of the next Board of Health Meeting Note: Plats with only one, two or three lots do not need to come before the Health Board. Patrice Lambert will sign the Plat at the City View Drive office. Health Fee is due at signing.(Call First: 557- 7396 to see if she is in - hours 8AM-4:30 PM)
SHARED LOCATION: BRET WILKINSON (Roads), ANNA O’SHEA (Zoning), PATRICE LAMBERT(Health) Please Note: All of the signatures on this page must be obtained before the Plat can be placed on the Zoning Board and the Board of Supervisor’s Agenda. Supervisors meet every other Monday. The Zoning Board meets the third Tuesday of every month. The original plat needs to be at the Zoning Office at least 20 days before the next scheduled Zoning meeting. ------AT THIS POINT, YOU WILL LEAVE THE ORIGINAL PLAT WITH MS. O’SHEA AT THE ZONING OFFICE. IT WILL BE SCHEDULED FOR THE NEXT ZONING BOARD MEETING AND THEN THE NEXT BOARD OF SUPERVISOR’S MEETING

*AT THIS POINT, IF YOU ARE AT THE MEETING, THE “ORIGINAL PLAT” WILL BE RETURNED TO YOU. THEN GO TO THE LAST 2 OFFICES:

______*County Recorder (Courthouse, 720 Central–1st Floor, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM) Plat Recording Fees due ($7 for the first page + $5 each page after)
Note: The property owner may pick up the Original Plat during the Board of Supervisor’s meeting. Or-- if you are unable to attend the meeting-- pick up the Plat at the Auditor’s office--4th Floor. Then obtain the final 2 signatures, 1 from the Auditor’s Office & 1 from the Recorder’s Office. The Recorder will then “Record” the Plat. Plats must be recorded within 30 days of the Board of Supervisor’s Meeting or be subject to revocation
Building Permits, Driveway Permits, Special Use Permits or Variances may be required before construction can begin. Please check with the Zoning Office, 13047 City View Drive for more information 589-7827 – 8 A.M. – 4:30 P.M.
