Minutes to the Augsut 1, 2012 Membership Meeting

The general meeting was held at the Sunrise cafe. Meeting called to order at 7:40 by Andrea. Attendance: Andrea & Butch Mowdy. Lois Cant, Donna & Duane Staack, Donna Bernadelli, Jamey Robbins, Mel & Anne Gahley, Bonnie Camp, John Lindley, Deneen & Bailee Phillips, Anita Stephens, Kathy White, Shannon Wheeler & son, Janet Allcot, Connie Evans, Jackie Bateman, Marnie Vandenberg, Wade Kirsey.

TREASURER REPORT: The checking account has $10,516.58, the scholarship fund has $2,992.03. Bills paid: Witco - $16.85, Janet Allcot $272.40 for awards. Canyon County to replace a panel $50.00. The rent for the fall Double point show arena has been paid, Andrea will collect a check to pay the rodeo arena. Mel /John L moved we accept treasurer report as given & grant Marnie permission to pay all outstanding bills. It passed unanimously.

DOUBLE POINT COMMITTEE: The fall show will be held at Canyon County again. Wade gave us an up- date on the show. The judges have been hired. Weather permitting, trail will be set outside. Sat night there will be a barrel race run by Cheyenne Hackney. This will benefit ISHSA also. Marnie will check with Canyon County as to prices, there was some talk about the prices being raised.

EPRB / LOC committee: John L mentioned all rules changes were due by Aug 1st, Marnie suggested that all rules needed to be to John by midnight tonight. Several changes were given to John at the meeting. Bonnie & Connie Evans volunteered to gather names for election for the 2013 year.

NEWSLETTER: Deneen encouraged all persons on teams to check their points . Get out & show, to help your team mates. Anita suggested that all persons check on their declarations to see if they are showing in the correct classes. The idea of setting up a table at the double point show to check paper work was discussed. 5 shows remaining.

WEBSITE: Lois asked directions to check ISHSA points. Anita gave some helpful suggestions. If you are having problems please contact Anita.

SCHOLARSHIP: Lois reported 5 applications have been filed with the committee. 3 awards will be given, one of these will be an Ada Co person receiving the Farm Bureau award.

AWARDS COMMITTEE: Deneen reported that the awards committee will start buying awards. .

BANQUET COMMITTEE: Jan 19, 2013 Slide show of your favorite photos. Deneen reported that the Nampa Civic Center has been reserved for our Jan 19th banquet. . PLEASE COLLECT PICTURES FOR A SLIDE SHOW TO BE SHOWN AT THE BANQUET. Email to Deneen or Andrea.

2 Important Updates

Double Point Show News: All stalls in the main barn have been reserved for the Fall Double Point Show as well as all RV spaces under the Charlois Barn.

Needed: Officers for 2012. If you are interested in serving as an ISHSA officer please contact Bonnie Camp.

ISHSA Judges Clinic will be held October 13. This will be a one day clinic. Clinic will include Reiner Rail and Disciplined Rail commands and general judges information. More information will be in the September newsletter.

Be sure to check your point. There are only 5 shows remaining. Get on out and start showing.

The Year End Banquet is scheduled for January 19th at the Nampa Civic Center. We are going to have a slide show of pictures from the 2012 show season. Please send pictures to Andrea of Deneen.
