Tami Watkins

Biography

Tami Watkins has recently joined the Pepco Public Affairs team after six years of government and public affairs work in Washington DC area. She studied English and History at Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, W.V. and attained her Master’s degree in Public Administration from West Virginia University.

While at West Virginia University, she was awarded a Housing and Urban Development Fellowship, which enabled her to work alongside government officials on a series of development and legislative initiatives. She has continued to apply a combination of practical and academic experience while working as a Management Specialist for the Town of Leesburg, Virginia and Government Affairs Manager for Comcast Cable in Alexandria, VA. Most recently, she was a Federal Services Consultant for Deloitte Consulting in Washington D.C. Her clients included the National Transportation Safety Board, Department of Agriculture, and the Freight Rail Administration.

She is active in a variety of civic and cultural organizations including Habitat for Humanity. Outside of professional interests, she reads, cooks, and stays active chasing her 1 year old son Kaden every where he goes.
