PIEDMONT ACCESS TO HEALTH SERVICES, INC
Policy Number: 02-14-008 Subject: Protection of Whistleblowers from Retaliation
Effective Date: 10/24/2013 Review/Revised: 02/11/2014, 03/26/2015 ______POLICY: PATHS’ Standard of Conduct requires that Board, staff and anyone else doing business on behalf of PATHS to observe high standards of business and personal ethics. Employees and representatives of the organization must practice honesty and integrity in fulfilling their responsibilities and comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
This Whistleblower Policy is intended to encourage and enable members of the Board, staff and other stakeholders to raise concerns within the organization for investigation and appropriate action. With this goal in mind, no member of the Board, staff, or other stakeholder who, in good faith, reports a concern shall be subject to retaliation or, in the case of an employee, adverse employment consequences. Moreover, any Board member or employee who retaliates against someone who has reported a concern in good faith is subject to discipline up to and including termination or dismissal.
The intent of this policy is to comply fully with the US Congress’ efforts to protect whistleblower activity as outlined in statute 41.U.S.C.4712.
