Buckle-up-for-Life Nathan Washatka presented Buckle-up-for-Life - Children’s & Toyota collaboration about educating families about the value of car seats. Can they turn over advocacy and education to an organization like OTRCC? Educate adults and teens for about an hour about the value of seat belts and car seats. They provide materials. We need to organize meeting and do the training. Those who take the training are eligible to win a car seat. Children 4-8 years often do not have the booster seat they need. They done it in Northside and Price Hill and are looking for a group(s) to do this training in OTR. We will broadcast this opportunity to parent groups at Rothenberg and OTR Community Housing, as well as social services such as Wesley Chapel Mission, Salvation Army, Contact Center. Imani Center. Voting and Elections: Nominating committee has a process for the June election. Walt suggested two different types of nametags for members and guests at the June membership meeting, so the nominating/election committee can clearly monitor who can vote.

Community Conversation Kevin Paper, OTR Foundation; Mary Rivers, OTRCH; Bonnie Nuemeier, OTRCH & Peaslee; Josh Spring, Homeless Coalition; and Ryan Messer and Joan Kaup, OTRCC are working together to find common ground among the various residential groups in Over-the-Rhine. Attached is a draft of what we can agree on for the leadership team of each organization to review and we’ll talk next steps at the May BOT meeting.

Board Protocal

Residential Parking Parking Committee meets with Michael Moore every two weeks. Seth shared with M. Moore the OTRCC principles regarding parking. Invite C. Seelbach to come talk parking at the April membership meeting next week because we need to stress the urgency that we need the residential parking passes now. The increasing number of valets are taking much needed parking spaces that our residents need.

Resident Engagement Committee Moving forward with the sign for the Rec. Center that says OTRCC meets there. Surveys from those that attended the March meeting will be tallied and presented ____WHEN?____ In an attempt to help manage the time and length of the meetings, we need to be thoughtful and selective of what gets on the agenda. Invite others to make their announcements on Facebook instead of in person. The committee will print postcards and/or posters of upcoming meetings dates and distribute to residents. The committee has a shared storytelling and Pinwheel event for community building and would like to do it in May or June. Might be a good activity while we wait on voting results. Can we do the neighbor survey digitally? Better to engage and do it personally, but OTRCH and Urban Sites will use a digital survey.

Safety Committee Issues at the 1132 Bar. Seth will take the lead and call the meeting. Walter, Ryan, Peter and Jenn will try to attend.

Announcements: Letter to city council members to boost NSP funds. Peter will draft National Night Out is the first Tuesday in August. Peter will do application. Need an NSP form for Festival Booth and an ad. CABR Fair Housing Tour is Weds at 3:30
