Emma Willard School seeks an energetic, compassionate, and highly trained clinical professional to lead its Health and Wellness Center. The Director oversees a center whose mission is to ensure that every student receives topnotch medical care in an atmosphere of warmth, respect, and welcome. This professional will bring to the job a sense of creativity and openness, a sense of collegiality, and collaboration that encourages a team approach to the health and wellness of each member of the school community. The Director is responsible for all aspects of the management and operation of the center’s staff, program, and facilities.

Emma Willard School, conveniently located in the Capital Region of New York State, is the oldest non-denominational all-girls’ school in the country, having just launched its 200th anniversary celebration. Emma is a college-preparatory, day and boarding secondary school serving 328 girls who hail from twenty-two states and twenty-eight countries. The 150-acre campus is on the National Register of Historic Places. Honoring its founder’s vision, Emma Willard School proudly fosters in each young woman a love of learning, the habits of an intellectual life, and the character, moral strength, and qualities of leadership to serve and shape her world.

The successful candidate will hold a current RN certification or nurse practitioner certification. S/he will demonstrate a track record of thinking creatively and strategically, as well as a keen sense that wellness springs from well-being, a dynamic balance in mind, body, and spirit. As such, s/he will create and maintain a culture that nourishes a dynamic life balance, and model the same. The director will be a superb communicator and collaborator with an outgoing personality. S/he will have a demonstrated ability to reach out across departments to bring the message of wellness to the entire school community.
