Action Items None

New Business a. SCM courses - grading changes #28 SCM 848, 870, 871, 872, 874, 875, 876, 877, 878, 879, 881, 883, 886, 893 N. Taylor requested to change the grading scheme for most of MS in Supply Chain Management’s courses to postpone grading by one semester (ET designation). The students are only on campus for a 12 day in-residence session, generally in the summer. Often professors give projects or assignments to be completed after the students have left campus and they need the additional time for grading. Supply Chain would like to use the ET designation for the above listed courses. The only items changing on the form are #1 general reason, #9 effective start, and #28 ET-Extension to postpone grading. b. Masters of Business Administration – remove secondary concentration M. Hall discussed MBA’s desire to remove the secondary concentration language in the official university program. Feedback from recruiters indicates a dislike for a split direction. They prefer that students are more committed to their primary concentration. Further, due to resource constraints of the college it has been exceedingly difficult to offer all the secondary concentration options. Although MBA academic services have been advising students in this fashion, with the secondary concentration listed, the students disregard the advice and choose a secondary. This in turn frustrates both student and staff when the courses for the concentration are unavailable. The MBA program staff believes a more viable option can be provided by eliminating the restriction of the secondary concentration and allowing a more tailored program to be constructed. Discussion held and options discussed. It was determined more data on the secondary concentrations was necessary before a decision could be made. This request will return next meeting as old business. c. ACC 822 – course title change G. McNamara moved to table the course change until next meeting, seconded by C. Parker and unanimously agreed.

Old Business None Information Sharing and Updates a. FT MBA Task Force K. Sedatole is a member of the FT MBA Task Force and reported on its progress. The committee is currently working on data collection in three areas, the voice of the marketplace, competitive analysis, and internal strengths and weaknesses. b. MS-Marketing Research program R. Spreng stated that students and employers are very excited about this new program. The university is working on Statewide Review and will work with the program. c. SCM Rail Management program G. Ragatz informed the committee that the two courses and program brought to MPC last spring are currently moving through the University Curriculum Committee (UCC). They are looking to implement the program next year once they can fully market it and providing there is enough interest. d. Miscellaneous K. Shaw stated there are a few MBA and WMBA courses without departmental ownership. This will need to be remedied relatively soon.

K. Shaw also informed committee members that requests for agenda items will now be copied to department chairs and administrative assistant/office managers. If someone else should be included, please advise Michelle McNure. Further, representatives should provide a digital copy of the course or program forms to Michelle so it can be placed on the MPC Angel site.

N. Khanna moved to adjourn, seconded by R. Spreng. Meeting was adjourned at 5:10 p.m.

Respectfully submitted, Michelle McNure, Recording Secretary
