LEILA ANDERSON CORBETT UPON THE 13 OCCASION OF HER RETIREMENT AFTER SIXTY-TWO 14 YEARS OF OUTSTANDING SERVICE TO GINSBERG’S 15 LADIES SHOPPE IN BISHOPVILLE. 16 17 Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of 18 Representatives note that, after more than six decades of 19 outstanding service and at the venerable age of ninety-one, Mrs. 20 Leila Anderson Corbett is celebrating her retirement from 21 Ginsberg’s Ladies Shoppe in Bishopville, on Friday, March 2, 22 2007; and 23 24 Whereas, excellent service is always to be commended, but Mrs. 25 Corbett’s active, productive service of so many years deserves 26 special accolades; and 27 28 Whereas, the owners and staff of Ginsberg’s Ladies Shoppe loving 29 her like family, they will miss her tremendously but wish her many 30 years of pleasure in the retirement she has so richly earned; and 31 32 Whereas, she has been blessed with two children, Spencer James 33 Anderson and Anne Anderson Elliott, five grandchildren, and three 34 great-grandchildren, with whom she hopes to enjoy her retirement 35 years; and 36 37 Whereas, still vitally interested in life, Leila Anderson Corbett is 38 an active member of Hepzibah Presbyterian Church and supports 39 civic activities, her church, and her family, always reaching out to 40 help others as a lifelong goal, thereby continuing to set an example 41 of dedicated, zestful productivity for all who know her; and 42

1 [3610] 1 1 Whereas, the House of Representatives is proud to honor this truly 2 special lady at the celebration of her retirement, and the members 3 of the House join with her family and friends in congratulating her 4 on reaching this important milestone. Now, therefore, 5 6 Be it resolved by the House of Representatives: 7 8 That the House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina, 9 by this resolution, congratulate and extend very best wishes to 10 Mrs. Leila Anderson Corbett upon the occasion of her retirement 11 after sixty-two years of outstanding service to Ginsberg’s Ladies 12 Shoppe in Bishopville. 13 14 Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to 15 Mrs. Leila Anderson Corbett. 16 ----XX---- 17
