Reading of the minutes from previous meeting dispensed.

Treasurer’s Report: Balance: $ 18,313.23. There are no outstanding payments or bills. Books audited by Christine Hutchison and Kevin Friend. Went smoothly no concerns.

Directors: Nothing to report

Newsletter Committee: Discussions on glossy cover for Mane Musing were reviewed and felt best to wait till breed becomes accepted to be able to cover the cost. Newsletter Committee requests any ideas be submitted to Cheryl, really need new ideas to keep it fresh. Editor expressed interest in adding a column to each issue welcoming new members.

Still working to get District Representatives to work more with expiring memberships.

NALRC Facebook page: Reminder this is a perk for members only, please do suggest to a friend to join if they are not a NALRC member.

Website feedback: Any broken links please notify the webmaster. Currently, there is only one person doing website updates, but hope to have additional soon.

Secretary: Is working on the new secretary’s program ensuring each member (especially those in a family) is accounted for. This will also allow for the sweeps counter to utilize the program, as well as, election committee for ballots and newsletter committee for addresses.

Sweeps: Move to using after show reports for sweepstakes instead of comment cards has decreased the incidence of obvious cheating. Comment cards are still accepted if a show does not do after show reports for unrecognized breeds.

Corporation/Taxes: Last 5 years of taxes given to Eric Bengston to have a free service law firm to review and will come back with recommendations. Process has been moving slowly but feel need the legal direction to have completed and finalized.

Theresa is working on committee appointments for the upcoming year. If anyone is interested in a position, please contact her. Thanks to Kevin Friend and Christine Hutchison for volunteering for 2012 Convention Booth.

Presentation:

Theresa is hopeful and excited about this year’s presentation. Has had judges look over rabbits and a blunt tail was found on a 3rd string tort. Pedigrees have already been submitted to the Standards Committee for review. Brief review of presentation rules discussed.

Meeting adjourned at 6:45 pm
