Performance Responsibilities: Domain I – Professional Rating Comments Skills 1. Conducts evaluations for school aged children using appropriate procedures and carries out the guidelines set forth in federal, state and local policy. 2. Selects and administers evaluation instruments for the purpose of diagnosing individual student need. 3. Interprets test results to school personnel, parents, and outside agencies, as appropriate. 4. Administers tests and writes comprehensive reports which accurately reflect factual data. 5. Complies with all legally mandated timelines.

6. Coordinates and facilitates ARDs in an effective manner.

7. Completes accurate IEPs, ARD meeting minutes, and documentation or all decisions in an efficient and organized manner. 8. Assists with access to resources when the student may be eligible for services outside the district. 9. Maintains organized and complete records and reports as required by law, district policy, and as needed to effectively complete assigned tasks. 10. Submits records and reports on time to the appropriate personnel as scheduled or when requested. 11. Acquires skills necessary to perform proficiently in eSped data management system. 12. Maintains the confidentiality of school and student records.

Performance Responsibilities: Domain II – Staff Rating Comments Relationships 13. Exhibits effective listening skills.

14. Conducts oneself in a professional, ethical manner. 15. Projects a positive image to the school/department/district.

16. Observes professional lines of communication at all times with individuals inside and outside of the school system. 17. Responds positively and professionally to questions, requests, and comments. 18. Works cooperatively in sharing knowledge, expertise, and skills with others. 19. Communicates with staff, students, and parents regarding confidential information in a tactful and sensitive manner. 20. Consults with school principals to schedule ARD meetings, assessments, observations, conferences, or staffing to be held on his/her campus. 21. Makes use of constructive criticism and avoids use of sarcasm, undue criticism, inappropriate language and behavior. 22. Notifies staff promptly in case of absence and communicates in advance the date of return so that proper provisions can be made. 23. Attends work regularly and arrives punctually.

Performance Responsibilities: Domain III – Knowledge Rating Comments and Application of Laws, Regulations, and Policies 24. Follows all state and federal laws, regulations, and guidelines in professional duties and responsibilities. 25. Follows policies, operating guidelines, and department expectations regarding duties and responsibilities. 26. Conducts evaluations in accordance with published protocols and professional training. 27. Ensures that evaluation reports are clear, accurate, and meet compliance standards. 28. Ensures that IEPs are clear, accurate, and meet all compliance standards. 29. Maintains records and evaluation data in accordance with FERPA and copyright laws. 30. Performance Responsibilities: Domain IV – Professional Rating Comments Growth 31. Demonstrates interest in professional growth by attending in- service meetings, workshops and conferences. 32. Applies new knowledge of federal guidelines and regulations, state laws, local policies, operating guidelines and changes in evaluation instruments and practices to job duties in a timely manner. 33. Seeks to improve professional skills and performance through a variety of means including goal setting, mentoring, and observing other professionals.
