Hi everyone! (From Veronica)

The event date is Sat. 6/22 meet 7am at Gateway Park.

Our club is sponsoring 30 children, plus 3 volunteers from the SHINE Program, (Sports Helping Influence Neighborhood Excellence) The SHINE program is an after school program offered to eligible youth of the Carver Park Weed and Seed site neighborhood , Salida Del Sol Elementary School and Housing Authority of the City of Yuma Apartments. This program is designed to promote constructive activity during critical and typically unsupervised after- school hours. This program teaches the fundamentals of playing various sports. Additionally, this program will serve to challenge individuals physically and mentally, aid in fostering team spirit, promote healthy competition, condition discipline, develop citizenship, good sportsmanship, and build youth of strong moral character.
