Position Summary

The Director provides strategic leadership and oversight of the Park Nicollet Health Services credentialing and privileging department to assure its integrity and compliance with the Park Nicollet, Methodist Hospital, and TRIA Orthopaedic Center ASC (TRIA) bylaws, policies and procedures, as well as JCAHO, NCQA, CMS, State and contracted payer standards, as well as direction and oversight to the Medical Staff Office at Methodist. This position directs the daily department operations to ensure continuous improvement of effective and efficient processes and procedures that support credentialing and privileging activities within financial goals. This position is responsible for the selection and supervision of credentialing staff and volunteers, and actively participates in the daily activities of the credentialing process. The Director collaborates with Medical Staff leadership and the PN Compliance areas as needed in matters relating to medical staff governance or legal concerns. Formal education and direct experience in credentialing required, including a minimum of three years direct credentialing experience in a large, teaching hospital setting. Experience in a large multi-specialty medical group practice preferred. Minimum 5 years supervisory experience required. Bachelor’s degree in business administration/management preferred. Knowledge of credentialing software required. Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) certification and Certified Professional in Medical Services Management (CPMSM) preferred.
