Salary: £22,968 Pro Rata (£9188.40) Hours: 15 Hours Job type: Early Years Arts Coordinator Status: Part Time Closing date: 13th December 2017, Midnight Location: Office based in East End of Glasgow Website: http://www.peekproject.org.uk Facebook: www.facebook.com/thepeekproject Core Function: To develop and facilitate an inclusive Participatory Arts Programme for Children aged 0-4 and their parents/carers through which children and their adults will have fun, stay safe, be inspired, make friends, learn, be creative and thrive.

PEEK are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and energetic person to join our CREATE programme. As Early Years Arts Coordinator for our Play Cafe you will support the development of positive well-being and social connections of children and their parents & carers by providing a range of arts activities, free play and food at free weekly community sessions.

The sessions will be delivered across 3 community venues each week and you will be able to deliver a range of workshops using music, visual arts, theatre, storytelling or dance. You will support Children to engage creatively, reach their milestones and have fun while adults will be supported to take risks by engaging with their child in new and different ways; increasing attachment and connection. You will also provide the families with regular opportunities to experience live theatre and other cultural activity created for early years.

You will work closely with partner organisations and schools to ensure best possible delivery.

This is a growing programme and there is scope to develop ideas and explore new areas of work by engaging the families in a participatory arts process.

A passion for working with early years, families and supporting their development, health and well- being is essential. Most work will take place in the morning or afternoon however, a level of flexibility is required to suit the needs of the project.

 Any post is subject to a PVG and two satisfactory references.  6% pension contribution  20 days annual leave pro rata  14 days Public Holidays pro rata
