YOUTH OFFICERS’ MARCH
Financial Objective: The Media Center of our school in Liberia is our financial objective.
Purposes: The purpose of the Youth Officers’ March is to assist the Woman’s Convention in keeping alive the dream and hope of Minnie C. Lyon and in sharing funds with the Lott Carey Mission Media Center, Liberia, Africa, for securing needed and various teaching aids and equipment for the students.
The purpose is also to inspire youth to participate in global missions.
Who May Participate: Local, County/City Union, Auxiliary, District, and State youth officers may participate in this march during the Annual Session in July.
Contributions: The suggested amount is $25.00 each. Other amounts are appreciated.
THE SUPERVISOR’S MARCH
Financial Objective: The Media Center at our school in Liberia is the financial objective of the supervisor’s march.
Purpose: The purpose of the Supervisor March is to share with the students in Liberia through various kinds of teaching aids needed to become better students.
Who Are the Participants: The participants of the Supervisor’s March are Local, County/City Union, Auxiliary, District, State supervisors and Associate Supervisors.
Contributions: The suggested contribution amount is $50.00 each. Other amounts are appreciated.
Optional: Supervisors are asked to dress in African Attire.
HAVE - A - HEART FOR MISSIONS PROJECT (Eunice Youngblood)
Financial Objective: The financial objective is the J.J. Johnson Baptist Assembly and State Missions
Purpose: The purpose of the Have-A-Heart for Missions project is to assist the Woman’s Convention in meeting its budget for the J.J. Johnson Baptist Assembly and State Missions.
Participants: The participants are youth who have won in their local County/City Union, or Auxiliary Have-A-Heart projects. After elimination on the local level, each County/City Union, Auxiliary will present one representative or group to participate in the Annual Session state level competition. Each participant will render a talent in the areas of oratorical presentation, dramatization, liturgical dance, or musical. All presentations should be in keeping with ideas that will share the good news; the gospel of Christ.
Contributions: Each participant brings the highest amount possible.
Reward: Monetary awards are presented to first and second place winners with the highest financial contribution.
Trophies are presented to the first and second place talent winners of each grouping (Ages 5-10; Ages 11-20, and Large Group),
All projects will culminate at the Annual Session of our Convention in July. Trophies will be presented to talent winners at that time. Awards for financial winners will be mailed to the winning County/City Union, Auxiliary within two weeks of the close of the Annual Session.
All monies for projects are to be reported to the Woman’s Convention office or brought to the annual session and reported to the Woman’s Convention finance committee. Please submit your receipt (showing proof of your contribution) on registration for the project. SHAW PROJECT Financial Objective: To give monetary support to Shaw University
Purpose: The purpose of the Shaw Project is to assist the Woman’s Convention in meeting its budget for Shaw University.
Participants: County/City Union, Auxiliary winners. After elimination on the local level, each County/City Union, Auxiliary will present one representative or group. Each participant will render a talent in the areas of oratorical presentation, dramatization, liturgical dance, or musical. All presentations should be in keeping with ideas that will share the good news; the gospel of Christ.
Grouping: There are three groupings in this project. The first group includes participants ages 5-10 years old. The second group includes participants who are 11-20 years old. The third group includes the larger groups of various ages that form groups with 6 or more members
Contributions: Each participant brings the highest amount possible.
Rewards: Monetary awards are presented to first and second place winners with the highest financial contributions.
