1998 to 2000 MDL Information Systems 14600 Catalina Street Systems Engineer San Leandro, CA 94577 Programmed customizations to the new defect tracking system to replace the legacy FORTRAN system, ported all defect data from MDL proprietary databases to MS SQL Server databases, and provided training and technical support to the Infrastructure Development Group. Also, responsible for testing customizations. The System was implemented with Rational ClearQuest on MS SQL Server, Windows NT, and IIS. Customizations ran on Windows and web interfaces and were made using VBScript, SQL, and the ClearQuest API. Major customizations included cloning a defect, copying duplicate customer links, and forwarding a defect to another product. Developed tools in MS Access (DAO, SQL, VBA) and VBScript to format data for porting and to transfer data between MS SQL Server databases.

1997 to 1999 Demptos Napa Cooperage 1050 Soscol Ferry Road Software Consultant Napa, CA 94558 Analyzed, designed, and programmed a complete integrated inventory order entry system for the Cooperage. The system was developed with MS Access/Jet Database Engine using DAO, SQL, VBA, and the Win32 API. The architecture was PC/file server on Windows NT and Windows 95. Provided ongoing support and performed enhancements to the system based on current business requirements. Major enhancements included an interface between order processing and Solomon and a production schedule for manufacturing barrels.

1997 to 1998 CORE Technology Group 16780 Lark Avenue Software Engineer Los Gatos, CA 95030 Designed and programmed automated data collection systems using bar code technology, Janus 2020 scanners, MS Access/MS SQL Server and MS Access/Jet Database Engine on Windows NT/95. The systems used client-server and PC/file server architectures. Other technologies used included C++, database procedures, ODBC, SQL, VBA, and the Win32 API. Carried out all phases of projects from client contact through design, programming, testing and implementation. The systems included ad, appliance, and asset tracking. Also converted parts of the automated data collection API from Win16 API to Win32 API.

1992 to 1997 Synergen Associates 2121 North California Blvd. Programmer Analyst Walnut Creek, CA 94596 Programmed custom integrated maintenance and facilities information management systems using FORTRAN, SQL, ORACLE and INGRES, and the DEC Forms Management system in a VAX/VMS environment for various clients. Clients included Comico Kimberley Mines, North East Ohio Regional Sewer District, Prince George Pulp and Paper, and the University of Saskatchewan. Programming included enhancements and maintenance, correcting software defects, and customizing new systems. Worked on all areas of the system; from reports, batch processing, and interfaces to on-line subsystems. The on-line subsystems included resource, maintenance, purchasing, inventory control, and accounting. Batch processes and interfaces included commitment costing, accrual costing, invoice costing, auto-invoicing, accounts payable, stock reorder, reorder review, and cycling PM Masters. Involved in all phases of a project from design, client contact, programming, testing and implementation, and data conversion. Worked independently on multiple projects concurrently and as part of a team on new projects.
