NOTICE INVITING QUOTATION
Name of Work:- Servicing/Overhauling/Modification of Water Treatment Plant, Sewage Treatment Plants & Reflecting Pool.
Sealed quotations are invited from reputed Nepal based specialized agencies having valid registration with VAT & other local authorities, for the above mentioned work in Embassy of India Campus at Lainchour, Kathmandu. Agencies who have sufficient experience in manufacturing, installation and maintenance of water treatment plants & sewage treatment plants in Govt. Departments, local bodies, large reputed institutions, etc. are requested to inspect the plants and submit their report along with the total expenditure involved in servicing/modification of plants and one year AMC for maintaining of these plants i/c all equipments like pumps, electrical panels, etc. all complete. Detailed scope of the work, terms & conditions, etc. can be downloaded from the website of Embassy of India, Kathmandu at www.indianembassy.org.np or from www.eprocure.gov.in .
The plants can be inspected on any working day (Monday to Friday) between 10.00 AM to 4.00 PM from 15-05-2012 to 03-06-2013. JE(Elect)/JE(M) can be contacted for inspection of the plants and for details of work at Phone Nos. 4443364/4411851.
The sealed quotations complete in all respect should be submitted in the name of The First Secretary & Head of Chancery , Embassy of India, Kathmandu with the name of work super scribed over the envelope.
Last day for submission of sealed quotations complete in all respect is 04- 06-2013. Embassy of India reserves the right to reject any or all the quotations without assigning any reason.

SCOPE OF WORK
It includes the following- 1. Replacement of all ineffective media & resins in treatment filters. 2. Chlorine dosing pump with PVC tank for bacteria removal & disinfection. 3. Re-arrangement of filters, if required, to obtain drinking water quality as per WHO standards. 4. If required, necessary modifications may be done to obtain desired water quality with economical chemical dosage in treatment processes. 5. Rotameters should be provided both for treated water as well as for backwashing process. Additional Rotameters should be provided for new water treatment plant also. These should have SS floats of 316 Grade of M/s Aster Technology or equivalent make. 6. Two pH value meters and one TDS meter of reputed make to be provided.. 7. Make of all additional provisions should be mentioned in the quotations. 8. All the pumps/motors should be properly greased & serviced and defective parts replaced. 9. All the equipments should be checked and defective parts replaced. 10.All electrical panels should be properly checked and repairs or change of defective parts should be undertaken. 11.Charts/drawings should be provided in the plants showing the various treatment processes and their sequence. Chemical dose required for various treatment processes and their periodicity should also be mentioned in a chart. 12.Water testing kit should be provided for daily testing of water and operational staff should also be trained for carrying out the tests. 13.Arrangements should be made for easy sampling of water both at source as well as in pump house for treated water after the treatment process is over. 14.Water level indicators should be provided in all the three underground tanks. 15.Cleaning and disinfection of all three underground tanks should be carried out. 16.Chemicals required for dosing shall be supplied by Embassy of India. 17.Operation & maintenance staff should be trained for proper dosing of chemicals for water treatment plant, sewage treatment plants & reflecting pool. 18.Two weighing machines (with calibration certificate from Weights & Measures Deptt.) required for chemical dosing should also be supplied. (One machine of 10 kg capacity with least count of 10 gms & other machine of 200 kg capacity with least count of 50 gms) 19.Cost for one year AMC should be separately mentioned in the quotation. Monthly visits should be undertaken by trained technical persons to check all the pumps, electrical panels, treatment filters and other accessories. The technical visits should be got verified from JE(Elect) & JE(M). ANNEXURE ‘C’ TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. All the rates should be quoted in Nepali Rupee). The rates should be quoted both in figures as well as words. (1.00 Indian Rupee= 1.60 Nepali Rupee) 2. The rates are net and nothing extra is payable over the quoted rates. 3. 10% security deposit shall be deducted from the gross amount. This is payable after one year of date of completion of work. 4. AMC amount is payable after every three months subject to satisfactory service. 5. The quantity of resins or media mentioned in the quotation should be brought to site and shown to the Engineer in Charge. Quantity remaining unutilized shall not be paid for and necessary deduction shall be made from the bill. Additional quantity, if any, required beyond the quantity mentioned in the quotation shall be provided by the agency free of cost. 6. The quotation should include the quantity and cost of all media, resins, spares, parts, accessories required for the work. Spares or equipment not provided shall not be paid for. Additional spares, parts, equipments, etc. required during execution of work shall also not be paid for and these have to be provided free of cost by the agency. 7. New provisions made or parts replaced as per scope of the work should carry one year free replacement warrantee from the agency. 8. Additional spares, if required, due to damage or malfunctioning of any equipment, one month after completion of work shall be paid for by the Mission. Any spare part required within one month of completion has to be provided by the agency free of cost. 9. All the modifications and repairs should be carried out with original spares from original manufacturers. These should be got approved from the Engineer-in- Charge. 10.Payment shall be released only after the test result from a reputed Testing Laboratory confirms the quality of treated water as per WHO norms. 11.Mission will get the quality of treated water tested from reputed Laboratories every three months beginning with completion of work. In case, the samples fail the desired quality standards, the cost of testing shall be recovered from the agency. The agency will then take necessary measures to achieve the desired quality of treated water and get the treated water tested from the reputed Lab. at its own cost. Treated water means treated drinking water as well as treated sewage water. 12.All statutory taxes shall be paid by the agency to concerned tax authorities on its own. Necessary TDS, if any, required as per Rules will be deducted from the payments made to agency for the work. Nothing extra will be paid in any circumstance. 13.The agencies should provide details of similar works executed with Govt., local bodies & large reputed institutions along with the quotations.. 14.Embassy of India reserves the right to reject any or all the quotations without assigning any reason. 15.Incomplete quotations shall be summarily rejected. 16.Time of completion of the work is 20 days after the date of award of work.
