CLEANING PROGRAMME @

As an NCC Cadet, we all know January 15 is celebrated as Army day. As related to army day our unit 9(K) girls BN NCC decided to conduct a cleaning programme at Kappad. Kappad beach is one among the ’s eight beaches achieve the blue flag certification and it is ‘ The Historical beach in India’.

Personal hygiene and environmental hygiene is the root of a healthy nation. For the awareness of environmental hygiene, we have decided to conduct such a programme in this special day. We all reached battalion at 8’O clock. It was the time at which corona epidemic is surrounded in our country, so we all have taken precautions and battalion supplied us mask, sanitizer, gloves etc. They provided us a special bus to reach kappad beach. Suja ma’am, Saju sab, Anesh sab and many other officers were with us. The battalion provided us enough food. We all have reached there and besides us there is many other college cadets. They divided us in many groups. And from there we got a class about the history of kappad beach. We got many new information about our neighborhood beach. It is the beach at which the Portuguese explorer Vasco da Gama landed on 1498.So historically this beach has an important role in India. The beach was already clean. Only some garbages are there and these was a competitive spirit in us because we are in groups. So it was easy to clean the beach in a little time. We got tired soon due to heavy sunlight. At last we take selfies and photographs and returned to battalion.

It was a nice experience for us. I wish to get many opportunities like this. NCC training give me many memorable experience in my life. And I’m proud to be one of the cadet who attend such a social work.
