YEAR REPORT 2018-2019 RSCA is a warm club. A club where everyone knows one another and the workday does not start before you have greeted all your colleagues.

It is important the club uses its privileged position to introduce others to this ‘purple feeling’ too. That is the attitude, which is expected from a club as RSC . That is ‘As A Champion’.

MISSION MISSION

Football, being an integral part of global society, has an invaluable role to play in driving social development. RSC Anderlecht recognizes the binding power of football on the one hand and its appeal as a club on the other. The club is committed to using its strengths to contribute to a more socially responsible and sustainable society. VISION VISION

RSC Anderlecht, being a national sports brand with strong local roots, wants to have an impact on 2 levels:

By 2022 RSCA wants to play a leading role in all national projects, initiated by the Pro League.

By 2022 RSCA wants to be involved in at least 1 project per municipality in the Capital Region.

Tackling societal challenges asks for a strategy and a strategy asks for focus. RSC Anderlecht is very proud of its youth academy and the philosophy behind it. It thus seems only natural that the club continues the work that is done here by focussing on projects that want to make young people aware of the importance of a good education and motivate them to do well in school. RSCA wants to continue supporting CSR activities with a national character, ensuring the club reaches out to the Antwerp 9%

entirety of its fanbase, which is spread Brussels 11% throughout the country. The collaboration with the Pro League and Hainaut 11% all its teams will be a crucial factor to 5% reach this goal. Liège 7%

BELGIAN COMMUNITY The 19 Brussels municipalities.

RSC Anderlecht was founded in a small pub called Concordia, close to in Anderlecht. RSCA started as all great things start. Small. Local. But as the club began to thrive and gained notoriouty on the European football scene, it started attracting fans from all over Brussels. It wouldn’t be long before RSCA was known to the public as a metropolitan club with strong roots to the and its different municipalities. RSC Anderlecht wants to invest in local community projects to respect its roots and continue connecting with local fans.

LOCAL COMMUNITY IN YOUTH WE TRUST.

For RSCA the formation of its youth has always been a high priority. This is reflected in the number of youth players that progress to the A-team1 and the unique “off the pitch”-guidance they receive². The club would like to continue down this chosen path, also in the selection of its CSR projects.

1 “In the 2017-2018 season, 6 players from the Belgian national team received their youth formation at RSC Anderlecht. This makes RSCA the leading supplier of players for the national team.” – Jean Kindermans, Technical Director Youth RSC Anderlecht.

² “Through the Purple Talents program, the youth players participate annually in 24 off the pitch- training sessions that help them grow as a person.” - Mila Djelosevic, Pedagogical Dempartment Manager RSC Anderlecht METHODOLOGY 1. WHO DOES CSR @ RSCA?

PROJECT RESUME

The Belgian Homeless Cup is a social-sportive football competition that engages the power of football for the reintegration process of homeless people.

This process can have a social character (social assistance, a meaningful use of spare time, building self-confidence and constructing a positive self- image) or a professional character (education, employment). There is also an improvement on the physical level as the football players get in shape and work on their health.
