If WADA overturns the IF's original position and grants monitoring program. The reasoning, the TUE, then the IF also has the possibility of appealing to CAS.

For national-level athletes, the procedure is similar, but it rests with the national organizations to grant or refuse the TUE. Also, the final appeal would not be made to CAS but to an independent national review body. The decision taken by this body could then be appealed to CAS by WADA.

The procedures to applying for and granting of a TUE are set out in the International Standard for TUEs, published by WADA. The procedures followed by CAS in regards to TUEs will be guided by the Code of sports-related arbitration, and will most probably be in accordance with a simplified procedure. CAS is expected to issue new rules shortly to govern these TUE matters.
