Ideal Indian School (IIS) recently observed Earth Day with a number of activities. In the Junior Section, a special assembly was conducted where the students were briefed on keeping themselves and their surroundings neat and tidy. The students staged a skit emphasising the need to stop plastic pollution and go green. The students also took a pledge to preserve all the living things and to keep the Earth clean. The students went on a rally to all the classes holding the placards about Earth Day. QPO to hold ‘Elgar’s Enigma Variations’ concert on April 28

Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra (QPO) will hold its upcoming concert ‘Elgar’s Enigma Variations’, at Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC) Auditorium 3 on April 28 at 7:30pm. The orchestra will be conducted by Hermes Helfricht. He is a versatile and dynamic young German artiste with footprints in both symphonic and operatic repertoire. He has collaborated with many European orchestras and was repeatedly entrusted with world premieres. Aleksandr Haskin will play flute.
