Greetings What a ride that it has been! It is hard to believe that it has been 40 YEARS since we graduated from Peoria High School way back in 1976.
I know that it is cliché to say: It does not seem that it was that long ago and how time flies.
But I guess it has been a long time ago and time does fly by!
For those that were able to join us for the reunion festivities in June, thank you for attending. I especially want to thank those who came “home” from “far away places”. We had classmates from all over the country including California, Texas, Arizona and Tennessee among other locations.
The festivities included a tour of the high school to see that some things have not changed (like the old girl’s gym showers) but the new addition behind the annex and the upgrades (the new weight room in the old girl’s gym) were impressive. Both evening events were held at great downtown outdoor venues (Kelleher’s and New Amsterdam) with good weather where we had a great time catching up.
From the feedback that I received, the reunion was a success. We had a great time reconnecting and getting caught up with each other. Many of you indicated that you were hesitant to attend for several reasons; either high school was not a great experience, you were not sure that they would know anyone or that everyone would be trying to impress each other. All of you that
Page 2 were hesitant to attend were glad you came. The experience was a positive one and you foud that your fears did not materialize. Your organization team (and great classmates) worked to make it a relaxed and comfortable event that allowed us all to reconnect with old friends and connect with others that you may not have known well in school.
In fact, the overall feedback has been so positive that we are not going to wait 10 more years to get to together again!
We are planning a 45th reunion!
We are also planning a less formal event in 2 years that we will call our 60th birthday party!

The largest challenge in preparing for a reunion is locating all of our classmates. In the attached updates on our class members, you can see there are many names without any information. If you have contact information on other classmates that we do not have contact information, send us what you know via e-mail or through the Facebook page.
Lastly, our reunions do not happen without a lot of hard work. There is a strong core of dedicated classmates that have worked to make them a success. Many of them have been on the team for all of our reunions! In particular, Kathy (Lord) Millard and Ginny (Crabtree) Molleck have been instrumental in making these Reunions happen. Thank you Team!!!
