Cullerin Road, Gunning & Breadalbane Tour Director’s Message

Welcome to the 2021 Goulburn Workers Junior 2 Day Tour.

After not being able to stage last year’s tour we are excited to be presenting our 16th tour and thank you for your support as we resurrect this great sport

We are proud of our tour and the reputation it has established as providing an event that provides an opportunity for all junior cyclists to compete, but more importantly, have fun in a good safe environment.

Saturday’s stage 2 road race, and for the first time, Sunday’s stage 3 time trial, are NSW selection events for the Under 15’s and 17’s. We hope these riders enjoy the challenge as they strive to earn a spot in the state team. Selection points will be awarded to NSW riders in order, regardless of their finishing position. ACT riders will be competing for points in the National Junior Road Series.

UNDER 17 Men Saturday’s prologue and road race for the Under 17 Men will be not be graded so that all riders are able to race for selection points for the state team. General Classification standings after day 1 will be used to split the fields for M17 into 2 grades for day 2. Each riders GC times from day 1 will go towards their overall GC in their respective grade. Gradings will be available on Sunday morning. NOTE: Start times for Stage 3 Time Trial will be as per the program, regardless of grading.

Of course, it’s the riders and families who support our tour, some for many years, that gives us the enthusiasm to make it happen, so thank you for supporting our tour. If this is your last junior tour with us, thank you for your support, we wish you well in your cycling career.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR ALL RIDERS • Riders must at all times obey directions from officials or the Police Failure to obey instructions will incur the following penalties 1st offence 10 second penalty 2nd offence Exclusion from the tour • All start times are approximate only. It is the rider’s responsibility to be at the line at least 10 minutes prior to the start. It’s a big program, please help us to make it run smoothly by being on time. • Starting order for the Time Trial and Prologue are as per the program. • ALL riders will be rolled out prior to the Prologue and Time Trial. Once rolled out you cannot leave the start chute. • First 6 place getters, and others at the Commissaire’s discretion, will be rolled out in road races. It is the rider’s responsibility to check rollout. • Please use the designated parking areas. NO PARKING ON ANY ROADWAY. • Only official vehicles are permitted on the course during races. • Respect the residents who are sharing their neighborhood with us and abide by speed limits • If going to the toilet, use the toilets provided. Any rider not doing so will be excluded from the tour. • Sign on is required on Saturday only. Numbers are the same for both days • ‘In line with AusCycle policy, there will be no prize money awarded o Greengrocer Cycling vouchers will be awarded to the top 5 riders in the General Classification’ o Total Prizes $2,000

If you are in the top 5 and leaving prior to the presentation on Sunday, please arrange for someone to collect your prize.
