TRADES NL CONTINUES GIVING, ANNOUNCE $120,000 TO SUPPORT COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS

December 20, 2019 – As the calendar year winds down, Trades NL continued its track record of philanthropy and supporting communities by announcing $120,000 to support 6 community partners. Recipients include Ronald McDonald House, Daffodil Place, The Gathering Place, Kids Eat Smart Foundation, the School Lunch Association, and the Salvation Army New Hope Community Center. This makes a total contribution in support of community partners in 2019 at $435,200.

In 2019, on behalf of our 18,000 skilled trade workers, Trades NL has donated more than $435,000 in funding to assist 75 organizations, communities, schools, and charities to continue the great work they are doing around the province, and assist improving the lives of children, sick people and those less fortunate. The Trades NL Partnership Program has 3 categories: Education; Community; and Health or Wellness. Support is targeted to youth, education, communities, poverty reduction, social justice, healthcare and wellness initiatives.

Over the last decade, our members have donated over $21 million to various organizations that have made positive impacts right across our Province. The 2020 Trades NL Partnership Program will be launched in January.
