CAST BIOS

KELLIE MARTIN (Samantha Kinsey) - Kellie Martin’s career began at the age of seven when her aunt, nanny to the children of Michael Landon, arranged for her to audition for Landon’s television drama, “Father Murphy.” After landing a small role on the series, Martin’s career took off.

Martin received an Emmy® nomination for her role as Becca Thatcher in the acclaimed series “Life Goes On.” In addition to landing a regular role in “ER” and guest starring in such acclaimed series as “thirtysomething,” “The Tracy Ullman Show” and “Law & Order: SVU,” Martin has starred in a number of television movies including “Her Hidden Truth,” “If Someone Had Known,” “Breaking Free,” “Her Last Chance,” “A Friend to Die For” and “Hidden in Silence.”

Martin has also appeared in the feature films ”Malibu’s Most Wanted,” “Troop Beverly Hills,” “Matinee,” “Jumping Jack Flash” and the animated “The Goofy Movie.” She can be seen in the upcoming musical, “Open House.”

Throughout her life, Martin has learned to balance her career and her studies, choosing to put TV and the movies on hold while she enrolled in Yale University, majoring in art history. She recently helmed a 13-minute short while participating in the prestigious American Film Institute’s directing workshop for women. If she ever decides to give up her career in show business, Martin dreams of working at the Metropolitan Museum of Art or opening a Manhattan photo gallery.

Martin is married and lives in Los Angeles.

CLARENCE WILLIAMS III (Philby) – Born in New York, Clarence Williams III began his career in a production of “Dark of the Moon,” directed by Vinette Carroll. He appeared on Broadway opposite Geraldine Page in “The Great Outdoors” and co-starred with Maggie Smith in Tom Stoppard’s “Night and Day.” For his performance in “Slow Dance on the Killing Ground,” Williams received a Tony nomination and won a Theatre World Award. He has worked extensively at the New York Shakespeare Festival and, under Joseph Papp's direction, starred in “King John” at the Delacorte Theatre.

Williams has appeared in many television shows including “Law and Order,” “Star Trek,” “Hill Street Blues,” “Miami Vice,” “Judging Amy,” and “Twin Peaks.” For five seasons, he co-starred as Linc Hayes in his own television series, the classic cop drama “Mod Squad.”

During Williams’ film career he has enjoyed a long collaboration with John Frankenheimer, starting with “52 Pickup” and followed by “Reindeer Games,” “The George Wallace Story” and “Attica.” Williams has also appeared in “The General’s Daughter,” “Purple Rain” (as Prince’s father), “Sugar

Hill,” “Deep Cover,” “Hoodlum,” and “Life.” His independent films include “The Brave,” Johnny Depp’s directorial debut; “Happy Here and Now” for Michael Almereyda; and the costume drama “The Legend of 1900,” directed by Giuseppe Tornatore.

NINA SIEMASZKO (Cassie Hillman) – Nina Siemaszko has a recurring role as one of the President’s daughters on “” and has guest starred on such series as “Philly,” “The Guardian,” “NYPD Blue” and “ Hope.”

Siemaszko starred in the after school special “Nothing But Sun: Children of the Holocaust,” the miniseries “Sinatra,” and the TV movies “Lonesome Dove,” “More Tales of the City,” “Breast Men,” “An Enemy of the People,” and the Hallmark Channel Original holiday movie “A Carol Christmas.”

On stage, Siemaszko starred in a version of “A Christmas Carol” mounted at Chicago’s prestigious Goodman Theatre. Her other stage credits are “The Sound of Music,” “A Cry of Players” and a number of Polish-spoken productions at the RefRen Theatre.

Among Siemaszko’s numerous feature film credits are “The Big Tease,” “Jakob the Liar,” “The Long Way Home,” “Suicide Kings,” “Goodbye Lover,” “The American President,” “Airheads,” “Little Noises,” “Bed and Breakfast,” “Lost Angels,” and “Tucker.”

CASEY SANDER (Chief Connors) – Casey Sander is best known for his starring role as Wade Swoboda on the hit sitcom “Grace Under Fire” and his recurring role as Rock Lanagan, foreman of the K&B Boys on “Home Improvement.”

An Air Force brat, Sander was drafted by the California Angels when he was only 17. Beset with injuries, he left the minor leagues three years later to attend the University of Puget Sound on a football scholarship. While earning a B.A. in Communications, Sander caught the acting bug and, after spending a year as an English teacher and football coach, made the move to Hollywood to pursue his career.

From his first speaking role on television (“Yup. Over there.”), Sander has amassed a staggering amount of credits. Among his most recent guest-starring roles are “Malcolm in the Middle,” “JAG,” “Boston Public,” “Boomtown,” “George Lopez,” and “Las Vegas.” His television

Sander is a single father of two teenagers and has raised millions of dollars for cancer research and the prevention of child abuse.
