In less than one week (Aug. 10-11) Bluechip Study USA will kick off our annual High School and College Hockey Showcase featuring 50 Swedish players between ages 93-98. In addition to the 8 on-ice sessions over the 2 day showcase Bluechip Staff and Coaches will be giving detailed and at- length information sessions on the student-athlete experience and opportunities in the United States.

Since 1991, Bluechip Study USA has been Sweden's leading expert in student-athlete study abroad, helping place over 7000 students. As for hockey, 2013 Stanley Cup Winner Viktor Stålberg (University of Vermont and ), Alexander Fällstrom (Harvard University and Boston Bruins) and Oscar Dansk (Shattuck St. Mary's and ) have been identified at past showcases.

This year Bluechip is proud to present Tom Ward, Director of Hockey at Shattuck St. Mary’s College Prep as this year’s showcase Head Coach. Ward is well recognized as one of North America’s leaders in youth hockey development, having coached over 50 NHL Draft Picks including the likes of Sidney Crosby (Pittsburgh Penguins), Zach Parise (Minnesota Wild), Jonathan Toews (Chicago Blackhawks), Derek Stepan (), Jack Johnson (Columbus Bluejackets), Ryan Malone () and Sweden's own Alexander Fällstrom (Boston Bruins). Accompanying Ward to coach the showcase will be University of Minnesota Mankato (NCAA Division 1) Men’s Hockey Assistant Coach, Darren Blue (Bio Here) and Former Plymouth State University (NCAA Division 3) Men’s Hockey Assistant Coach, Rob Day (Bio Here).
