Community Consultation

During July we had a total of 219 calls for the area of Braunstone Town and Thorpe Astley. PC Jenny Morris executed a Misuse of Drugs Act Warrant at an address in Braunstone Town this month. An investigation has commenced and enquiries are still ongoing. PC Stu Clough has been out and about working overnight across the and District policing the area and covering over 160 miles in one night. He visited licensed premises, assisted in the arrest of 2 persons for an affray, assisted a further affray at a local public house, attended a breach of Covid-19 incident, dispersed a large house party and finally lent a helping hand with an individual arrested for assaulting a Police Officer; fortunately the Officer was okay. On an equally busy night Stu and his crew mate covered an area of 200 miles as part of force wide operations. There were COVID-19 breaches, groups on the parks, fights, the closure of one public house and the arrest of a drink driver. The beat team are also continuing to work closely with a local care accommodation for young people in Braunstone Town after reports of anti-social behaviour. PCSO Wright has worked closely with the home and local authority to help resolve the issues raised.

And finally, we have all had to adapt our lives after the outbreak of COVID-19. Help control the virus.

To protect yourself and others, when you leave home you must:

 wash hands - keep washing your hands regularly  cover face - wear a face covering over your nose and mouth in enclosed spaces  make space - stay at least a metre away from people not in your household

If you are feeling unwell, get a test and do not leave home for at least 10 days.
