Web Developer Intern

Certiport is looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working intern to work up to 20 hours per week with a desire to gain working experience and skills in maintaining a dynamic new website, website improvements and design as part of our team. This opportunity provides college students with hands-on learning directly related to their current academic studies. The web developer intern will engage in web development tasks under the guidance of one of our talented and gifted web designers. The internship will allow Certiport to support a student in their career path. The intern must be able to work a minimum of 15 hours per week, days and times are flexible. Please note: Intern must be eligible to work in the U.S.

Job Description:

The intern will have hands-on experience in Certiport web development. This includes both administrative and design support functions. Tasks may include, but may not be limited to the following:

Support web and graphic designer efforts Web site maintenance Graphic design including illustration Photo editing and retouching Web site construction Flash design Flash programming

Qualifications:

Sophomore/Junior/Senior undergrad majoring in related field and desiring a paid internship experience Students must be able to work a minimum of 15 hours per week, days and times are flexible within our normal work day Proficient using Windows, Microsoft Office suite products, and the Adobe Suite of graphic/web design applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, and Dreamweaver Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Strong knowledge of web development, web design and scripting languages such as: o Javascript (with libraries like Mootools and jQuery) o HTML o CSS • Knowledge of XML integration • Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines • Self-starter with an eye for detail • Eagerness and ability to learn quickly and expand technical repertoire • Fun person with a sense of humor • 0-2 years work experience
