Minutes of the meeting of Ystradfellte Community Council held at Pontnedfechan Village Hall on 3rd February 2020 at 7.00 p.m.

Present: Cllrs. C Woodley, N Collins, K Bowman, L Jones, L Cornish, D Thomas

2020/10 Minutes

The minutes were passed as a true record proposed by Cllr. Jones and seconded by Cllr. Woodley

2020/11 Declaration of Interest None recorded

2020/12 Dyfed Powys Police

Dyfed Powys Police sent their apologies Cllr. Bowman spoke to Sara Richards in Cllr. Thomas’ recent surgery in PNV. She said that is residents do not report illegal parking, the police will be unable to do anything about it. Complaints need to be logged.

2020/13 County Borough Council a. Cllr. Thomas had a meeting with a resident of Holly Bush cottage and BBNPA regarding access. They agreed access to the works. NRW would have to be contacted to upgrade the path on the other side of the river. The police have left some cones in the village hall. b. The ‘Slow’ sign near Tai Hirion has not been painted. c. Craig y Dinas – the reply received from Powys Highways said that the complaint had been passed back to Cllr. Thomas. He reported that he had a recent meeting with the Head of Building Control, Head of Powys Highways, Head of Environmental Health and 3 solicitors. Photographs were presented, action is now being taken under the Building Act 1984. A letter has been sent to the owners stating that the roof is Dangerous, they have to reply in 10 days. d. The draft budget was passed last week but it will not be made public until 25th Feb 2020. Only 600 people responded to the budget simulator out of an area of 132,000 residents. e. Blaenedd road – still not done. f. Powys Highways reported that the yellow lines outside the village hall are wide enough. 2

2020/14 Matters Arising a. PNV Parking – A meeting was held with the consultants last week.. b. Broadband Hepste Valley – an email needs to be sent to Dyfed I.T. asking how may residents have shown an interest c. Access to Holly Bush and Rose Cottage PNV – Cllr. Woodley also had a meeting with the residents. He suggested that if the area looked more residential i.e. putting a street sign up less visitors would park there. Cllr. Bowman and Cornish cleared the debris from the yellow lines outside the village hall. People are afraid to park in the village hall car park because they think the barrier will be locked. Cllr. Bowman will ask the village hall committee if they can be removed. Cllr. Woodley offered to remove them for free.
