St.

Resurrectional Apolytikion in Tone 3 Let the heavens rejoice and the earth be glad, for the Lord hath done a mighty act with His own arm. He hath trampled down death by death, and become the first-born from the dead. He hath delivered us from the depths of Hades, granting the world the Great Mercy.

Apolytikion of St. Luke The Evangelist in Tone 3 O holy Apostle and Evangelist Luke, intercede with the merciful God, to grant our souls forgiveness of sins.

Apolytikion of The Nativity of The Theotokos in Tone 4 Thy nativity, O Theotokos, has proclaimed joy to the whole universe; for from thee shone forth the Sun of justice, our God, annulling the curse, and bestowing the blessing, abolishing death and granting us life everlasting.

Kontakion of The Theotokos in Tone 2 O protection of Christians that cannot be put to shame, mediation unto the Creator most constant, O despise not the suppliant voices of those who have sinned; but be thou quick, O good one, to come unto our aid, who in faith cry unto thee: Hasten to intercession, and speed thou to make supplication, thou who dost ever protect, O Theotokos, them that honor thee.

+ THE READING IS FROM THE OF ST. PAUL TO THE COLOSSIANS (4:5-11, 14-18)

The Prokeimenon: His voice has gone out into all the earth. The heavens declare the glory of God.

Give my greetings to the brethren at Laodicea, and to Nympha and the church in her house. And when this letter has been read among you, have it read also in the church of the Laodiceans; and see that you read also the letter from Laodicea. And say to Archippus, “See that you fulfill the ministry which you have received in the Lord.” I, Paul, write this greeting with my own hand. Remember my fetters. Grace be with you. Amen.

+ THE READING FROM THE HOLY ACCORDING TO St. Luke (10:16-21)

The Lord said, “He who hears you hears Me, and he who rejects you rejects Me, and he who rejects Me rejects Him who sent Me.” The Seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Thy Name!” And Jesus said to them, “I saw fall like lightning from heaven. Behold, I have given you authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy; and nothing shall hurt you. Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you; but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.” In that same hour Jesus rejoiced in the spirit and said, “I thank Thee, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that Thou hast hidden these things from the wise and prudent and revealed them to babes; yea, Father, for such was Thy gracious will.”
