Michael Rodyniuk is Vice President of Specialty Assets for Willis Lease Finance Corporation. He is an aviation executive with over 30 years of management experience spanning the globe. His leadership experience includes serving at legacy airlines (, American Airlines, Swissair, United Airlines), low cost (WestJet, ), and regional airlines (Exchange Income Corporation (EIC), Hawaii Island Air, Northern Shield Helicopters, , , ) and contributed to start-up airlines (Volaris, ZIP). He has been active in acquisitions, alliances, green field start-ups, corporate restructuring and airport development.

Michael started his aviation management career in 1991 with American Airlines where he was included in the company’s Career Development Program, successfully moving through management positions with increasing responsibility. In 1994 Michael joined United Airlines progressing to Manager, Industry Marketing and Alliances where he was involved in developing and implementing Star Alliance. In 1999 he was appointed to Swissair’s SR Technics as Vice President overseeing business alliances, mergers, acquisitions and development. In 2002, Michael was recruited to assist with the development of Air Canada’s low-cost airline, ZIP as Vice President responsible for Sales, Marketing and Distribution. In 2004 he became Director of Revenue for WestJet, overseeing the overhaul of the company’s Inventory and Revenue Management system, optimizing revenue. From 2005-10 Michael worked with the Winnipeg Airports Authority as Chief Operating Officer, overseeing operations and redeveloping the airport campus. In 2010-2012, he served as Chief Operating Officer for EIC's aviation group of companies where he led multiple airline businesses in Canada's North serving First Nation and Inuit Communities. In 2012, as Executive Vice Chairman, he led the Hawaii Island Air team, restructuring the airline and selling the company to Oracle founder, Larry Ellison. In 2013 he negotiated a successful joint venture between Willis Lease Finance Corporation (WLFC) and the Chinese Central Government agency, China Aviation Supply Corporation (CASC) having been active in Asia business since the 1990s. Further in 2014 he led the initiative to acquire of certain assets of JTPower by WLFC to create Willis Aeronautical Services Inc., where he was a founding member of the Board of Directors. In 2015, Michael accepted the role of President and CEO and successfully restructured the operations of Wasaya Airways, combined with financial restructuring culminating in a $25 million debt/equity transaction returning the company to profitable operations. In 2018, recruited by the Board of Directors of West Wind Aviation, he successfully led the restructuring of the company and its subsidiaries Transwest Air, Northern Shield Helicopters, Snowbird Aviation and Pronto Airways.

Michael is Chairman of the Board of Directors of West Canitest R&D Inc. (WestCaRD), an initiative of the General Electric Company, the Government of Canada and Standard Aero focused on research and development of aviation turbine engines.

Michael is a graduate of Mount Royal University (College); holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Manitoba; is accredited by United Nations agencies Airports Council International (ACI) and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), as an International Airport Professional (IAP), and a certified Director (ICD.D) by the Canadian Institute of Corporate Directors.
