Employment November 2015 to present Inspection manager for the UK market leader in new home warranty insurance, the National House Building Council (NHBC). Working as a part of the Operations directorate delivering ten-year Buildmark warranty and Approved Inspector building control across three counties, running a team of remote working building inspectors and managing the building control & warranty risk to over 450 residential and commercial construction sites in the fast-paced South East. Primary contact for local housebuilding contractors, and responsible for many technical, development & performance management matters. January 2014 to October 2015 Survey manager for Warner Surveys Ltd in London, developing technical expertise within the business and expanding the portfolio for all types of measured building, condition, IPMS, BIM, topographic, terrestrial & mobile laser scanning, aerial & UAV surveys. Also managing the rail survey team working across the . Blue-chip clients included PLP Architecture, HTA Design, Global, Mott Macdonald, AECOM and many other organizations such as local authorities, Network Rail and Transport for London.

February 1998 to December 2014 Chartered surveyor & project manager for Halcrow Group Ltd and latterly CH2M HILL Inc. Many construction and engineering disciplines covered during this period including structural pathology, Quality Assurance, business development, project management, and health & safety management. Tasked with running the Southern survey division and subcontractor network, involving interdisciplinary liaison with specialist teams including building research, engineering design, built heritage, architecture and BIM. Consultant to the National Trust, Metropolitan Police, Environment Agency, EDF Energy and Thames Water.

November 1997 to February 1998 Contract work for Hays Montrose. Primary contract as the site engineer and surveyor for the construction of a Siberian onshore gas pipe link for Interconnector UK and Transco. Also included a site engineering role building public infrastructure for Norfolk County Council and May Gurney Limited. Responsible for subcontractor management, accurate engineering data & survey data presentation.

March 1997 to November 1997 Building and land surveyor at EDI Surveys Ltd. Varied work included undertaking measured building, facade and other engineering-related surveys, insurance and loss adjusting surveys, topographic mapping and survey production from the client’s specification to CAD-drawn completion. Responsible for financial management and timely delivery of individual projects.

September 1995 to March 1997 Junior surveyor for Engineering Surveys Limited. Many large building surveys carried out in this period for public sector clients such as the Home Office & London Livery Companies. Key structural analysis and building/environmental monitoring experience gained on several high-profile schemes including the Heathrow Express during reclamation works, City of London Guildhall excavations, tunnel route mapping for the Company of Blacksmiths (City of London), and precise monitoring projects at Dungeness Power Station for EDF Energy.
