Not only did our license sales and club numbers reach all-time highs of 74,516 and 2,812 respectively, but we also permitted a record number of events (3,145) and supported more than 630,000 racing days across all five disciplines of cycling. In addition to the continued growth, it was an incredible year for the sport on other fronts as well. We launched the race director certification program and celebrated the grand opening of our national conference center at our Colorado Springs headquarters. American athletes earned four medals in road, track and mountain bike events at the London Olympic Games, and an additional 23 medals in para-cycling events in London. In world championship competition, American athletes earned a total of 135 medals in elite (15), amateur (97), and para-cycling (23) contests. And finally, we crowned more than 500 national champions at our seventeen national championship events in 2012! Our success across all of cycling's disciplines can be attributed to our innovative National Development Programs which continue to provide unparalleled opportunities for American athletes. For the past 13 years, these programs have been supported largely by the non-profit, fundraising arm of USA Cycling, the USA Cycling Development Foundation. Our development programs are run around the world and throughout the year, and in 2012 provided up-and-coming athletes with 4,539 supported days. As we move forward in 2013 and beyond, I'd like to thank all of our dedicated members and donors who have made possible the success we've seen over this last decade. Recognized by the United States Olympic Committee and the Union Cycliste Internationale, USA Cycling is a membership-based organization that strives to grow the sport domestically; encourage and support non-racing enthusiasts; and also foster the identification, development, and support of American cyclists in international competition. Unlike most other national cycling federations across the globe, USA Cycling receives no government funding. Sources of revenue for USA Cycling include annual membership sales, event fees, grants from the USA Cycling Foundation and the United States Olympic Committee, corporate sponsorship, and generous gifts from individual donors. In 2016, we revised both mission and vision statements to align them more closely with the changes we’ve enacted and the direction we’re heading. MISSION The mission of USA Cycling is to develop the sport of cycling in the United States at all levels and to achieve sustained international racing success while fostering a shared commitment to safety, integrity, and the joy of cycling.     Biomatematický model 2016: Rio ‐ časovka žen Tipy na zajímavé etapy, které byste chtěli do BMM zařadit, S malým odstupem se vracíme k vrcholu letošní globální připomínky a náměty posílejte na [email protected] cyklistické sezóny, konkrétně k silniční cyklistické časovce žen. Do ní se nekvalifikovala ani nestartovala žádná česká závodnice, ale máme tady přeci BMM… Intenzivní déšť není zrovna ideální počasí pro souboj s chronometrem a tak souboj o nejcennější kovy proběhl za žalostné divácké kulisy. 29,7 km dlouhá trať, kořeněná několika kopci a technickými sjezdy na specifickém brazilském asfaltu budila respekt už za sucha v hromadných závodech, natož pak na vodě. Nejlepší recept na její nástrahy nakonec našla favorizovaná Kristin Armstrong. Tento příspěvek je věnován speciálně cyklistkám zapojeným do BMM, nicméně i muži si trať časovky vyzkoušeli, více ve výsledkové listině na další straně. J’estime qu’il reflète les progrès significatifs que nous avons accomplis dans la modernisation de notre organisation afin de veiller à ce qu’elle soit une Fédération Internationale remarquable par ses résultats et son intégrité. J’ai été élu Président en 2013 avec pour mandat de restaurer la confiance dans notre sport et l’UCI ainsi que leur crédibilité. En 2015, nous nous sommes appuyés sur les avancées réalisées l’année précédente afin de poursuivre cet objectif précis. L’UCI contribue à montrer la voie dans l’établissement des meilleures pratiques en termes d’intégrité et de transparence sportives.

    Consejero de Cultura y Turismo de la Junta de Castilla y León La crisis sanitaria provocada por la Covid-19 ha condicionado nuestras vidas y nuestra actividad diaria. El deporte no ha sido ajeno a esta situación pero, poco a poco, hemos sabido adaptarnos, hemos podido practicarlo y hemos logrado realizar eventos deportivos, con más o menos restricciones, pero intentando siempre no paralizar nuestro deporte. A partir de marzo de 2020, la pandemia provocó la suspensión de muchos eventos cuya preparación estaba en marcha. Uno de ellos fue la Vuelta Ciclista a Castilla y León para ciclistas internacionales. La previsión era dar la salida en el mes de abril, pero, ante la evolución de la situación sanitaria, se decidió no celebrar la prueba a lo largo de 2020. Sin embargo, desde hace meses, se ha venido trabajando en retomar su celebración en 2021, tomando la decisión de realizar una prueba de una etapa, que recorrerá la provincia de León el 29 de julio, con salida en León capital Javier Ortega Álvarez y llegada en Ponferrada. Su recorrido por tierras del Camino de Santiago en este Año Jacobeo, lleno de belleza paisajística y monumental, no dejará indiferentes a los aficionados y, sin duda, animará a visitar esta tierra y a probar la rica y variada gastronomía leonesa y berciana. Este año, la edición será ya la número XXXV y una vez más, contaremos con una prueba de gran nivel deportivo, con varios equipos World Tour y numerosos equipos internacionales, así como con la perfecta organización a la que nos tiene acostumbrados el Club Ciclista Cadalsa.
