INFORMATION PACK Although it is not possible to stage our usual Penzance Running Day in 2021, we are offering an alternative Penzance & West Vintage #Busflyby on Sunday 18 April. This socially-distanced run for locally-based vintage buses and coaches will bring some well-deserved smiles to the people of West Cornwall as they pass by. With overnight hotel/B&B stays not possible and travel discouraged, we hope others will enjoy following the run from their homes, both via our Facebook page and by following the hashtag #Busflyby. For the safety of all, we regret that passengers will not be carried by vehicles at this event. Over 20 vehicles are taking part and buses will pass at 15 minute intervals through Helston, Penzance, Hayle, St Just and Marazion from 10:00 to 16:00. There are no fixed stopping points in order to prevent crowds gathering. We expect to bring some live footage to our Facebook page for those following online, as well as photos and video highlights. The organisers and vintage vehicles owners hope that you enjoy the day and will share any pictures using #Busflyby. We hope to return to Penzance for a traditional running day on Sunday 17 April 2022 with free rides around the West Cornwall Peninsula in these vintage vehicles. Support Selling programmes at the Penzance Running Days is a principal way CBPS and TV&GWOT raise funds to cover the upkeep of these preserved vehicles so they can be enjoyed by others. Covid restrictions meant the traditional event had to be cancelled in 2020 and although the 2021 flyby format brings the opportunity for wide enjoyment, there will be no busy bus station in which we can sell programmes to cover the costs. This is challenging for CBPS and TV&GWOT and we should be very grateful if you would consider making a donation to contribute to our costs and preservation funds in recognition of the work put in to bring the vehicles to you for #busflyby. Donation via Paypal is straightforward, just go to the website donations page http://www.tvagwot.org.uk/donations.htm. Donations will be shared between TV&GWOT & CBPS. Thank you!

Buses start from various locations from 10:00 and the final runs will be complete by 16:00.

Buses travelling from South and East Cornwall to and from the event will take the A390 and A30 and three will take the A394 to pass through Truro and Falmouth en route to Helston and Penzance. This will give opportunity for those further up the county to spot vehicles earlier or later in the day.
