A fishing boat, rocking off the Gaspe coast, picks up schooner reports and news of Newfoundland sent by a radio announcer in a church basement in St. John’s. And, sit- ting in a wheel chair in the Capital City, an invalid has a warm little glow of pride be- cause her small contribution has helped finance a service unique in Newfoundland and one that has gone a long way toward cutting down the lonelines [sic] of the outport Newfoundlander — Wesley United Church’s unique station VOWR. -
